Chapter 176: This Plan Could Work!

As soon as Shen Fei returned home and started telling Han Xinyan about what happened at the reunion, inside a private room of a high-end lounge in Shenzhen, Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai exchanged a glance, then shook their heads in frustration.

“Come on, what was so important that you had to drag us out in the middle of the night?” Jiang Tiancheng asked unwillingly as he entered the room.

They were already aware of the general situation regarding Yunshuixuan, so they knew that Ning Xiangyi was not calling them over to discuss that matter. However, Ning Xiangyi had sounded unusually anxious and rushed on the phone, as if something urgent was about to happen if they didn’t come immediately.

This left Jiang Tiancheng, who had just successfully wooed a beautiful woman and was on his way to a romantic rendezvous, feeling quite annoyed.

“Stop complaining, this matter involves Fei Ge!” Ning Xiangyi said seriously.

Upon hearing this, both Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai became alert.

“What’s happened to Fei Ge?” Hu Yuantai asked calmly, his curiosity piqued.

“Well, tonight I had a meeting with my dad for a business deal, and I happened to see Fei Ge attending the reunion…” Ning Xiangyi began but was immediately interrupted by Jiang Tiancheng.

“Is this really worth calling us here for? The kind of thing that happens at reunions is just like what you read in novels, right? Fei Ge probably got mocked by his old classmates, and then when he couldn’t take it anymore, he pulled out a big move that left everyone stunned, and now they’re all trying to flatter him!” Jiang Tiancheng said, sounding nonchalant.

“That’s not far from the truth,” Hu Yuantai agreed. “Most reunion stories I’ve heard end up like that. Life is always more dramatic than what’s written in novels!”

“Ugh, speaking of novels, some authors clearly don’t use their brains. The plots are getting dumber and dumber. When I encounter something like that, I just give up on the book!” Jiang Tiancheng added with frustration.

Hearing this, Ning Xiangyi was left feeling confused. “Aren’t we supposed to be talking about Fei Ge? Why are we suddenly discussing novels?”

“Stop, stop, stop! What are you two talking about? This isn’t the point!” Ning Xiangyi interrupted hurriedly.

“Then what’s your point, Ning? Come on, get to the point. It’s late, and we’re here with beautiful women, not to listen to you go on about reunions!” Jiang Tiancheng sighed.

“Alright, alright! Here’s the deal,” Ning Xiangyi said, clearly switching to the real matter. “The Kang family from Beijing, a big red wine distributor, came to Shenzhen today to talk business with our company. They have a batch of European-imported red wine arriving soon, and they wanted to see if we’re interested. But they couldn’t agree on the pricing, and after the meeting, I walked out with Kang Zhejun, and we bumped into Fei Ge! Once Fei Ge heard they were in the red wine business, he got really interested, and after Kang Zhejun finished talking, Fei Ge immediately placed an order!”

“Can you guess how big the order was?” Ning Xiangyi said, looking at the two of them eagerly.

Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai immediately focused their attention on Ning Xiangyi.

Without waiting for them to speak, Ning Xiangyi continued, “He ordered 20,000 bottles of red wine in the 5,000-dollar range and 50,000 bottles in the 4,000-dollar range—a 300 million-dollar order! Who else in Shenzhen has that kind of spending power?”

“Wow, really?” Jiang Tiancheng exclaimed, clearly shocked.

“You followed Fei Ge’s lead and placed an order, right?” he added.

“What? No!” Ning Xiangyi replied, confused.

“What? Why didn’t you?” Both Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai asked in surprise, almost in unison.

“Xiangyi, logically, you should’ve followed his lead. Why didn’t you?” Jiang Tiancheng asked, clearly puzzled.

“I’ve only met Fei Ge a few times, so I didn’t dare to place an order without consulting you two first,” Ning Xiangyi explained hesitantly.

“Xiangyi, are you stupid? This is way more than just a little profit. Fei Ge spent 300 million on a huge order! You said it yourself—who else in Shenzhen is crazy enough to do that? That means this is a huge opportunity!” Jiang Tiancheng said eagerly. “By the way, does Kang Zhejun still have stock of the two types of wine Fei Ge ordered?”

“Not anymore! According to Kang, Fei Ge took all the stock,” Ning Xiangyi replied.

“Tsk, damn it… Can’t we ask Kang Zhejun to introduce us to other red wine traders?” Jiang Tiancheng frowned slightly, considering their options.

Ning Xiangyi hesitated before asking, “Has Fei Ge signed a contract with Kang Zhejun yet?”

“Not yet! But they’ve agreed on everything, and I think Kang has already informed the Beijing company. If all goes well, the contract should be signed tomorrow,” Ning Xiangyi explained.

“Why are you asking this?” Ning Xiangyi added, puzzled. “Tiancheng, are you thinking about interfering with Fei Ge’s order?”

“What? Interfere with Fei Ge’s order?” Jiang Tiancheng was almost furious. “I wouldn’t dare! I’m just wondering—don’t ask Kang Zhejun for introductions yet. If he has other shady plans, we might mess things up for Fei Ge! After they sign the contract, then we can ask!”

The three of them fell silent for a while as they digested the information.

“Hey, I have another idea!” Jiang Tiancheng suddenly said.

“Why don’t we just buy directly from the red wine market? It’s faster and easier!” Hu Yuantai spoke up immediately.

“Exactly! I was thinking the same thing. Even if the prices are higher than Kang Zhejun’s, we can still make a profit,” Jiang Tiancheng smiled.

“Should we ask Fei Ge what he thinks? This seems too crazy!” Ning Xiangyi asked, still unsure.

“Are you stupid, Xiangyi?” Jiang Tiancheng scolded. “Fei Ge made sure you overheard everything on purpose! He didn’t try to hide anything from you, which means he wants us to seize this opportunity. Besides, would you ask Fei Ge everything? Don’t be so naïve!”

Ning Xiangyi seemed to understand as Jiang Tiancheng explained.

“Alright, Tiancheng, this plan could work. But if we’re going to do it, we’ll need to wait,” Hu Yuantai said quietly.

“Why?” Both Jiang Tiancheng and Ning Xiangyi asked, confused.
