Chapter 210: They Really Have Been Wronged!

Regarding the reply from Life on a Skewer founder Ji Lu, Shen Fei wasn’t in a hurry. He knew Ji Lu would definitely observe for a while to see how the scar-healing cream performed and whether it truly had promising prospects. Only after that would Ji Lu give Shen Fei an answer.

Shen Fei understood this. After all, if the new venture failed, all the effort Ji Lu had put into Life on a Skewer would be wasted. Despite Shen Fei offering unparalleled terms in the city, or even nationwide, Ji Lu still needed to thoroughly investigate the opportunity.

Understanding this, Shen Fei temporarily put the matter aside. As for his current move in the U.S. stock market with Tesla’s shares, Shen Fei didn’t trouble Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai. Instead, he personally set up his own U.S. stock account. Leaving one billion RMB aside, he converted the remaining nine billion into USD and fully invested it in the U.S. market.

While Shen Fei was bottom-fishing Tesla’s shares, online discussions about the scar-healing cream gradually died down. The internet has no memory; most people were just joining the crowd for excitement. As time passed, attention on the scar-healing cream faded, and its popularity declined.

Even so, those quietly observing the situation knew that in a few days, when the product’s effects became evident, another storm was sure to come.

    Yunhe Villa.

    Night had fallen deeply.

“Shen Fei, what have you been up to these past few days? You haven’t even gone to the company!”

Han Xinyan finally saw Shen Fei and couldn’t wait to voice her doubts.

Not only had he skipped the company, but she had barely seen him at home lately either.

“Busy making money to support the family! Otherwise, how can I afford to take care of my two women?” Shen Fei joked with a grin and quickly shifted the topic, “How are the scar-healing cream sales doing lately?”

“Ugh, don’t get me started. It’s giving me a headache! The 40,000 bottles we sold during the live stream — we’ve sold about another 10,000 over the past few days despite the backlash, so the total is just over 50,000 bottles.”

Pausing for a moment, Han Xinyan sighed helplessly, “Even though the sales are dismal, our company website and online flagship stores have been flooded with comments. Without exception, they’re all mocking and dismissing the scar-healing cream!”

Seeing her so dispirited, Shen Fei quickly comforted her.

“Don’t worry, this rough period will pass soon. If we calculate the timeline, some customers should have already received their scar-healing cream.”

“Yes, that’s true! According to the backend data, more than half of the customers have already received their orders,” Han Xinyan nodded.

“Then what’s there to worry about? In three to five days, the cream’s effects will start showing! For now, have Chengyou Technology keep pushing the product through live streams. Once customers start praising it, the company will get busy again,” Shen Fei said with a smile.

“That sounds a lot better! You don’t know — the customer service department has been under so much stress. A lot of the young girls have been brought to tears multiple times! I really feel sorry for them,” Han Xinyan said with deep sympathy.

“Yeah, the company is just starting up, so this rough period won’t last long. Once the public perception turns around, we’ll book a nice hotel for a celebration and thank everyone for their hard work,” Shen Fei replied softly.

“I was thinking the same thing!” Han Xinyan smiled and nodded.

    The two chatted happily.

By the time Han Xinyan took Shen Jiayue to wash up, the clock had quietly ticked to 9:25 PM.

It was autumn, and the U.S. stock market opened at 9:30 PM. Shen Fei headed straight to his study.

Just as he turned on his computer and sat down, Jiang Tiancheng called.

“Brother Fei, you’re a genius! The U.S. stock market just opened, and Tesla’s stock price dropped straight down to $800! Should we buy now?” Jiang Tiancheng shouted excitedly.

“Hold on! Take it slow,” Shen Fei replied calmly, watching the K-line chart on his screen.

Even though the price had dropped to $800, Shen Fei remained unhurried. He clearly remembered that in his previous life, Tesla’s stock price fell even further after this point.

For now, this price drop was just an appetizer.

As for Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai, Shen Fei only mentioned this move to them because of the call.

“Alright, we’ll follow your lead! I’ll keep the line open — just let us know when it’s time to buy,” Jiang Tiancheng said eagerly.

“No need for that! I’ll call you when the time is right.”

Before Jiang Tiancheng could respond, Shen Fei hung up.

Focusing back on the screen, Shen Fei paid close attention to Tesla’s stock trajectory.

Meanwhile, Han Xinyan, having finished bathing Shen Jiayue, noticed Shen Fei’s focused demeanor and wisely chose not to disturb him. Quietly, she took the little girl back to their room to sleep.

Time passed minute by minute. For the next three hours, Shen Fei didn’t move his eyes from the screen. He clearly remembered that in his previous life, Tesla’s stock price hit $702 before stabilizing.

At the same time, in an elegant villa elsewhere in the city, Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai were equally glued to their computer screens, not daring to blink.

Their phones sat charging on the table as they anxiously awaited Shen Fei’s call.

Finally, three hours later, their phones rang.

    “Move now!”

Shen Fei’s two-word command came through before he hung up again.

With that, Shen Fei invested his remaining nine billion RMB into the U.S. stock market.

Compared to Tesla’s valuation of hundreds of billions, their few billion USD barely made a ripple.

After completing his moves, Shen Fei calmly went to bed.

Unlike Shen Fei’s calm, Jiang Tiancheng and Hu Yuantai were on edge. After investing six billion RMB into the stock market, their eyes remained glued to their screens.

“It hasn’t budged! It’s still $702! Could Brother Fei have misjudged this time?” Jiang Tiancheng said nervously.

“Unlikely! How could Brother Fei make a mistake? Let’s wait a bit longer — stock prices fluctuate unpredictably. Who can really call it perfectly?” Hu Yuantai replied with a wry smile.

“I’ll keep an eye on international finance news tomorrow. If there’s any sign of movement, I’ll call you right away!” Hu Yuantai added.

“Alright! Tomorrow I’ll also ask Brother Fei about the Xingzhe and Lan Ju brands,” Jiang Tiancheng said with a yawn.

    “It’s getting late — I’m heading home!”

With that, Jiang Tiancheng left Hu Yuantai’s house.
