At the Green Tee Restaurant.

After getting out of the taxi and seeing the upscale decor of the restaurant, Han Xinyan furrowed her brows.

“What are you doing…?”

“We’re here to eat,” Shen Fei casually replied.

“Eat? Shen Fei, do you know how expensive it is here? Just a glass of water costs a hundred! I know you have a bit of money now, but money shouldn’t be spent like this!” Han Xinyan scolded.

Shen Fei remained silent for a while before sincerely saying, “Ayan, I understand all of this! But I want you and Yueyue to live better! Besides, this is our first time here, and it’s my birthday! He owed Han Xinyan and Shen Jiayue.

He should have given them a better living environment, but because of his gambling addiction, the mother and daughter had to endure a hard life.

Even the most basic sightseeing elevator ride was something Yueyue hadn’t experienced before.

Half a minute later, the elevator slowly reached the floor.

Green Tee Restaurant looked luxurious, and its prices were high, but there were no restrictions; it wasn’t only for the wealthy or elite.

The three of them were led by a waiter to a table by the window.

“Daddy, Yueyue wants to eat this, and this! I want this too!” Shen Jiayue pointed at the colorful pictures on the menu.

“Yueyue, remember, you need to speak quietly in public!” Han Xinyan gently reminded, patting Shen Jiayue’s little head.

Seeing this, Shen Fei felt warm inside, in a good mood. “What Yueyue wants to eat, Daddy will order for her, okay?”

He understood that at her age, Yueyue just liked the bright pictures, so he ordered those dishes, despite knowing they were unnecessary.

Han Xinyan shook her head as she watched. “What are you doing? A little child doesn’t understand, ordering so much is a waste.”

“It’s fine, we’ll take the leftovers if we don’t finish them! As long as Yueyue is happy,” Shen Fei said, pinching Shen Jiayue’s little cheek.

This made Shen Jiayue giggle.

“Ayan, what do you want to eat?” Shen Fei asked, looking at Han Xinyan.

“Anything,” Han Xinyan replied indifferently.

“Then I’ll just order anything for you.”

Shen Fei carefully checked the menu and started ordering.

When Han Xinyan saw how elegantly he was ordering, she suddenly had the illusion that Shen Fei often came here to eat.

But this illusion was quickly dismissed.

Someone like him, a gambling addict, would never be able to afford to eat here regularly, even if he had money.

The atmosphere between the two became awkward as they waited for the food to arrive.

But thankfully, Shen Jiayue was there to brighten the mood.

The smart and playful little girl kept moving between Shen Fei and Han Xinyan, lightening the atmosphere. Her actions subtly brought Shen Fei and Han Xinyan closer emotionally.

The meal went by strangely.

As the three were about to leave, a voice from behind them sounded in disdain.

As expected, it was her company’s CEO, Zhang Gui.

Zhang Gui’s smile grew more sarcastic, and his eyes gleamed with provocation.

“Mr. Zhang, is it? What has our Ayan done to offend you, that you speak so rudely?” Shen Fei stepped forward, his tone turning serious.

Han Xinyan immediately grabbed his arm, “Shen Fei, don’t waste your time on him. Let’s go!”

She wasn’t afraid of Zhang Gui, but she worried that Shen Fei’s suspicions would bring unnecessary pain for her.

“Minister Han, in such a hurry? Are you really afraid I’ll expose everything?”

Zhang Gui mocked her.

“What have I done? Mr. Zhang, you’re slandering me!” Han Xinyan replied with a cold face.

Zhang Gui ignored Han Xinyan and directly addressed Shen Fei, “Kid, your wife has been amazing lately! Not only did she sign a huge contract, but the other party also said they would only sign contracts with her from now on! I heard the boss of that company specifically came down to talk to her!”

“I also heard that to accommodate your wife, they fired one of their own managers. It’s the legendary ‘anger for a beautiful woman,’ huh?”
