    Chapter 160 – Fashion Show

“By the way, how’s that pet park project of yours going?”

The two of them found an open spot and sat down.

Li Shen turned to look at Pang Tao and asked. He remembered that the last time they went to the rescue center to shoot a video, Pang Tao had told him quite a bit about the center’s plans.

He wondered how the preparations were coming along now.

Hearing the question, Pang Tao sighed.

“Overall, everything’s going smoothly. But today, when President Chen came to visit the pet park, he actually canceled the pet performance segment I had the highest hopes for.”

“In my entire plan, pet performances were the key to attracting visitors. If that’s removed, I’m afraid the park will lose a lot of appeal.”

“President Chen canceled the pet performances? Why?”

Li Shen was a bit puzzled. He had thought the plan sounded pretty good and didn’t see any major flaws—why would President Chen scrap it?

“President Chen felt that training pets for performances was too cruel, so he decided to cancel it.”

“Oh, I see. President Chen is really kind-hearted—not even willing to let stray cats and dogs suffer like that.”

    “Yeah.”

The two of them sighed together.

Li Shen fell into thought. Since pet performances weren’t allowed, then what else could attract visitors?

This pet park was still President Chen’s project. Even though he wasn’t directly responsible for it, he still wanted to contribute however he could.

President Chen was worried that pet training would be too harsh, so all they had to do was come up with performances that didn’t involve cruel training.

But what kind of performance would be gentle enough and still manage to be attractive?

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck him. He looked at Pang Tao with a delighted expression.

“Tao-ge, I’ve got a great idea that could replace the pet performances. Want to hear it?”

    “Tell me, quick.”

The moment Pang Tao heard that Li Shen had an alternative plan, he immediately perked up.

He had burned countless brain cells on this problem and still couldn’t come up with a viable replacement.

He hadn’t expected Li Shen to think of one. It caught him by surprise.

“President Chen’s stance is pretty clear. He’s not against pet performances per se, he just doesn’t want the pets to suffer from harsh training.”

“So pet performances are possible—as long as they’re more gentle and don’t involve cruelty.”

Li Shen laid out his reasoning, then continued:

“And just now, I thought of a kind of show that hardly requires any training at all, but still has that performance effect.”

    “What is it exactly?”

Pang Tao couldn’t hold back anymore and pressed him for details.

Li Shen smiled at his anxious look.

    “A pet fashion show.”

    A pet fashion show?

For a moment, Pang Tao didn’t quite understand what he meant.

Seeing the confusion on his face, Li Shen explained:

“Once the pet park is fully built, we can invite clothing designers to create outfits specifically for pets, then dress them up in those clothes.”

“During the show, it’ll be like a regular fashion show—people leading the pets down a stage runway, showing off the outfits.”

“I’m sure that’ll attract a lot of cat and dog lovers to come watch.”

“So, what do you think? Is this plan workable?”

Li Shen turned to look at Pang Tao. There was actually one more thing he hadn’t said yet.

If this plan worked and the pet fashion show gained traction, their clothing factory could even branch out into a new sector—developing and selling pet apparel.

As Pang Tao listened, his eyes gradually lit up.

This pet fashion show was totally viable!

He was already thinking about how to promote it before the show began.

They could take a few stylish photos of the pets in their outfits, make some flyers, and send a team into the city to hand them out.

As long as they distributed enough flyers, he was confident they’d draw in a crowd.

What’s more, this idea sparked several other potential profit models for the pet park. He could pick a few cute and photogenic pets and turn them into pet celebrities.

Then create merchandise or figurines of these pets to sell at the park’s front counter—or use them as prizes.

The prize system was simple: visit the park a certain number of times and get a free pet celebrity figurine.

That way, they could motivate visitors who wanted the figurines to keep coming back.

The more Pang Tao thought about it, the more he felt this pet fashion show had enormous development potential. Looking at Li Shen, he said gratefully:

“Li Shen, I really have to thank you. This pet fashion show idea is amazing.”

“I won’t stay any longer—need to head back and get planning.”

    “Alright!”

Li Shen nodded, watching Pang Tao drive away, then turned to go home and work on editing his video.

    ………

    The Next Day

    Early Morning

Wu Yu and Jiang Cheng were already waiting at the entrance of the new workshop. He had just gotten in touch with the delivery crew from the machinery factory—they were about ten minutes away from arriving at the clothing factory.

What surprised him even more was that the team leader for this delivery was someone they already knew—Zhao Yang, the same person who had hosted them last time when they went to the machinery factory for training.

Who would’ve thought things would be flipped this time—with him as the host.

He remembered how, during that training trip, Zhao Yang had bragged about how good their food and accommodations were at the machinery factory.

Well, once Zhao Yang arrived today, he was going to give him a taste of their own factory’s meals, dorms, and of course, the workshop.

Before long, two large trucks slowly drove in from the distance. At Jiang Cheng’s signal, they came to a stop right in front of the new workshop.

Following behind them were two smaller vehicles.

Zhao Yang stepped out of one of them with a few workers. After looking around briefly, he spotted Wu Yu walking toward him.

    “Yang-ge, long time no see!”

Wu Yu greeted him with a smile.

“Let me introduce you—this is Jiang Cheng, our head of production. Once the machines are unloaded, you’ll follow Jiang-ge’s directions for placement.”

“Jiang-ge, this is Zhao Yang. He’s the leader of this delivery team.”

Jiang Cheng gave Zhao Yang a firm handshake.

“Welcome to Changfeng Clothing. Wu Yu will take care of lodging and meals for you and the technicians. I’ll be in charge of directing the unloading and setup.”

    “Got it.”

Zhao Yang nodded, then called the unloading crew over and told them to follow Jiang Cheng’s lead.

Once Jiang Cheng led the workers off, Wu Yu turned to Zhao Yang.

“Yang-ge, I’ll take you to the staff dorms first so you can put your things down. Then we’ll head to the canteen for breakfast.”

Even though it wasn’t exactly meal time yet, the canteen had already prepared food for the visitors.

This had all been reported to President Chen in advance and approved.

    Zhao Yang nodded.

“Alright. Back at the machinery factory, we kept hearing how your clothing factory’s food and dorms are better than ours. I’m looking forward to seeing that for myself today.”
