    Chapter 232: Live Streaming

With permission from Supervisor Qi Bu, Wang Yang quickly took out his phone and answered the call.

“Alright, I’ll head over right away.”

Wang Yang hung up and looked at Qi Bu.

“Supervisor Qi, there’s an order. I need to go take some measurements.”

“Is it President Chen’s order?” Qi Bu asked tentatively.

Wang Yang nodded. “President Chen rented a place and wants to renovate it into an employee cafeteria.”

“Alright, you better get going then. Don’t keep them waiting,” Qi Bu urged, knowing they couldn’t afford to neglect such an important client like President Chen.

He then turned to Chen Jun. “Chen Jun, why don’t you drive him over?”

“Sure, Supervisor,” Chen Jun agreed, leaving Chenglin Decoration with Wang Yang.

In the car, Wang Yang provided the address, and Chen Jun drove them there.

“Brother Jun, President Chen has been so supportive, giving me this order. I want to give him something as a thank you. What do you think would be appropriate?” Wang Yang asked Chen Jun.

Chen Jun thought for a moment. “Cater to his interests. Once we get there, you can ask President Chen’s staff about his preferences.”

They soon arrived at their destination.

“This is Wang Maonian. He’ll be directing the renovation,” Li Shen said, introducing Wang Maonian to Wang Yang and Chen Jun.

The group was already familiar with each other, so further introductions were unnecessary.

“Hello, Brother Wang!” Wang Yang greeted Wang Maonian.

Chen Jun followed suit with a greeting.

Wang Maonian then led Wang Yang and Chen Jun around the place, pointing out key areas to focus on during the renovation.

After a while, Wang Yang and Chen Jun finished measuring the space and noted down the important details Wang Maonian mentioned.

They reconvened with Li Shen and the others.

“We’ve got all the measurements. We’ll head back to work on the design now,” Wang Yang said to Li Shen’s group, but paused before leaving.

    “Can I ask you something?”

“Go ahead. If we know, we’ll tell you,” Li Shen nodded.

“I just wanted to know if President Chen has any hobbies or things he likes,” Wang Yang asked cautiously, worried they might misunderstand his intentions.

“Don’t get me wrong. I just want to thank President Chen and don’t know what gift would be suitable, so I thought I’d ask you.”

Li Shen fell silent at Wang Yang’s words, then turned to look at Wang Maonian and Wu Yu.

What hobbies does President Chen have?

For a moment, he couldn’t think of anything.

In his memory, President Chen didn’t seem to have any particular pursuits. He drove a company car instead of buying a luxury one, indicating he wasn’t interested in cars. His clothes were always casual and not from any big brands, showing he wasn’t into fashion. As for food, he always ate cafeteria meals. Regarding other hobbies, Li Shen hadn’t seen any.

Wu Yu and Wang Maonian also thought for a long time but came up empty.

After a while, the three exchanged glances and shook their heads at Wang Yang.

At the Sky Pavilion Game Club,

    In the gaming room,

Jiang Jiu was setting up his live streaming equipment. Today, he was going to stream “Extreme Survival” on Tiger Head Live.

“Are you ready?” Chen Cong asked as he walked in, looking at Jiang Jiu.

“Yes, everything’s set. We can start soon.”

“Great!” Chen Cong nodded, then went to check on the other club members.

For this live stream, Du Ziteng had secured four homepage recommendations for them. The four of them would team up for a squad match.

At 7 PM, the prime time for live streaming, Jiang Jiu and the other club members started their streams on time.

Facing the camera, Jiang Jiu felt a bit uneasy but knew the importance of this stream for the club. While playing, he needed to attract viewers and promote the game as much as possible.

Glancing at the live stream audience, he saw only a few viewers, all club members, meaning no external audience had joined yet.

Taking a deep breath, he set up a custom room, and the four of them automatically joined a team.

They were the best at “Extreme Survival” in the club. After all, showcasing their gaming skills was a way to attract viewers.

Soon, the rest of the custom room filled with other players.

Jiang Jiu clicked to start the game.

As the countdown ended, a plane appeared on the screen. The four of them chose a location rich in resources, based on their experience from the past few days.

Parachuting down, landing, and scavenging for supplies.

As the game began, viewers started trickling into the live stream.

“Hey, what’s this game? I’ve never seen it before.”

“It looks like a shooting game, but this gameplay is new to me.”

“It seems fun, scavenging for supplies, driving cars, and the map is huge. It feels so realistic!”

“Look, they’re in a fight. What’s with this streamer? Instead of charging forward, he’s retreating.”

“Yeah, all three teammates are advancing, and he’s running away. That’s so cowardly.”

Wearing headphones, Jiang Jiu was intensely focused on the game, unaware of the live stream’s activity.

Upon hearing an enemy approaching by car from afar, he retreated to a vantage point, taking out his sniper rifle with an eight-time scope to observe the enemy’s movements.

This was their tactic: two players charged, one flanked, and he provided long-range support and intel.

Soon, under the scope, he pinpointed the enemy’s position.

He aimed at an exposed enemy,

    Fired,

    A headshot.

“Charge, I’ve knocked one down,” he quickly informed his team.

After speaking, he swiftly adjusted his aim to target another enemy preparing to throw a smoke grenade to rescue a teammate.

    Bang!

    Another enemy down.

With that shot, the remaining two enemies were taken out by his teammates.

A flawless victory in the skirmish.

The live stream audience was amazed by the scene.

    “Wow, what precise shooting!”

“This streamer’s hand speed is unmatched.”

“Have you only been focusing on the streamer’s skills and not noticed the game itself? This is a shooting game with incredibly open-ended gameplay. There are numerous strategic ways to play as a team. When the streamer retreated just now, it wasn’t because he was chickening out; he’s actually the team’s sniper. From a high vantage point, he can effectively scout enemy positions and call them out. Plus, he can use the sniper rifle for suppressive fire.”
