Make Money C231
by MarineTLChapter 231: Sales Champion
“That’s better!”
Seeing that Luo Yuan was paying attention to the issue, Wei Yan didn’t say anything more.
Once Luo Yuan left, he gathered Fang Chang, Zhao Bowen, and several team leaders together.
“Director Wei, is something going on?” Fang Chang asked, assuming something significant had happened since Wei Yan had called all the company’s leaders together.
Wei Yan raised his hand with a smile. “Nothing major, don’t worry. It’s just about the Clothing Factory…”
Wei Yan briefly explained the agency matter.
“Oh, it’s just that. I thought it was something big,” Fang Chang sighed with relief. It was the first time since Wei Yan joined Cangxue Games that all the leaders had been gathered, so it was natural to feel a bit anxious.
“Since it’s President Chen’s clothing brand, I’ll join in. My niece back home is currently unemployed, so she can manage the store,” Fang Chang said straightforwardly. As a senior leader, it was only natural to show support for President Chen’s Clothing Factory. The agency fee of 100,000 yuan was manageable for him, especially since his last project bonus was 100,000 yuan. Investing in President Chen’s clothing brand seemed worthwhile.
“Count me in, I want to join too,” Zhao Bowen eagerly raised his hand. With both Fang Chang and Wei Yan signing up, he naturally wanted to follow suit.
Wei Yan nodded at this and finally turned to the other team leaders, speaking calmly. “I’ve called you here to discuss this matter and to ensure it reaches every team member. Anyone interested in joining the clothing brand can sign up with me. However, make sure to act within your means. If you don’t have the financial capability right now, don’t rush. President Chen’s clothing brand will still be there when you’re ready.”
“Alright, that’s all. Everyone can return to work.”
He didn’t force the team leaders to express whether they wanted to join President Chen’s clothing brand, fearing they might feel pressured to do so despite lacking the financial means. Letting them return was to give them space to think independently.
…
At Chenglin Decoration, in a conference room.
Supervisor Qi Bu stood at the front, looking at the many employees with a bright smile.
“I’ve gathered everyone here today to announce something important.”
“It’s already late January, and last year’s performance evaluations are out. For the quarterly performance, we secured both the champion and runner-up positions.”
“Quarterly champion Wang Yang and runner-up Chen Jun, let’s welcome them to the stage to receive their awards.”
Supervisor Qi Bu announced loudly and led the applause. The other employees followed suit with enthusiastic clapping.
Wang Yang and Chen Jun exchanged a glance and walked to the front of the room together.
With a smile, Supervisor Qi Bu handed them their award certificates and prize money—5,000 for the champion and 3,000 for the runner-up.
Wang Yang and Chen Jun accepted the prizes with thanks and were about to leave when Qi Bu stopped them.
“Don’t go yet; there’s also the annual performance evaluation. If you leave now, you’ll have to come back, which is troublesome.”
Hearing this, Wang Yang and Chen Jun paused, realizing they were also part of the annual performance evaluation.
After stopping them, Supervisor Qi Bu continued, “Next is the annual performance evaluation. We’ve won both the annual champion and third place.”
“The annual sales champion is once again our rising star Wang Yang, and third place goes to Chen Jun. Let’s congratulate them.”
Amidst the thunderous applause, Supervisor Qi Bu distributed the annual bonuses. Champion Wang Yang received 20,000, while Chen Jun got 5,000.
Looking at the prize money in his hand, Wang Yang realized that, including the previous 5,000, he had earned a total of 25,000 just from bonuses. Such a windfall was beyond anything he had imagined before joining the decoration company. He had envisioned making a lot of money through design but never thought it would happen so quickly.
All of this was thanks to one person—President Chen. Without President Chen, he wouldn’t be where he was today. Wang Yang felt grateful and pondered how to thank President Chen.
Supervisor Qi Bu spoke again, “Since it’s a special day, let’s have our sales champion Wang Yang share his tips and experiences on securing orders.”
As he spoke, Supervisor Qi Bu handed the microphone to Wang Yang.
Wang Yang instinctively took the microphone but froze at the thought of sharing sales experience. He didn’t have any! Wasn’t his success purely luck? If he said that, would the other employees think he was being evasive and unwilling to share his knowledge?
He turned to Chen Jun for help, hoping for some advice.
Chen Jun, seeing this, quietly turned away. How could he help? If he hadn’t seen Wang Yang’s method of securing orders firsthand, he wouldn’t have believed it himself. If President Chen weren’t so young, he might have suspected Wang Yang was President Chen’s illegitimate son.
Just a few days ago, Wang Yang landed contracts for five coffee shops and a five-story office building—all President Chen’s orders. Wang Yang was a bit overwhelmed, so he passed on three of the coffee shop projects to Chen Jun, promising to take only half of the commission after completion, leaving the other half for Wang Yang.
Chen Jun was more than satisfied with half. After all, securing orders typically required lengthy negotiations. These orders, while they had some requirements and occasional revisions, were generally straightforward as long as the client’s needs were met.
The most crucial aspect was that the payment for these projects was transferred to the company account immediately after signing the contract, with no delays whatsoever. Despite the advance payment, they never slacked off on the quality of work, always assigning the best workers to ensure everything was done meticulously.
Through numerous projects, both Wang Yang and Chen Jun, as well as Supervisor Qi Bu, understood that President Chen was a stable major client. As long as they served this client well, they would never be short of orders.
“Supervisor Qi, you know my orders well; there’s really nothing to share,” Wang Yang said quietly, looking back at Supervisor Qi Bu with resignation.
Hearing this, Qi Bu thought of Wang Yang’s orders and his lips twitched slightly. There really wasn’t much to share. Just as he was about to speak, Wang Yang’s phone suddenly rang in his pocket.
Wang Yang looked at Supervisor Qi Bu. “Let me take this call.”
Qi Bu, having heard the phone ring, gestured with a smile, “Go ahead.”
