by MarineTLChapter 181: Recruiting a Live Streaming Team
“I’ll go speak with Assistant Shen about this matter first to see if approval can be granted. If not, we’ll just have to wait for President Chen to return and then make further plans.”
Wu Yu paused for a moment, then looked up and spoke slowly.
Hiring professional streamers for product sales essentially means creating a new position within the company, and we’d also need to provide a proper live streaming space. It can’t just be done with a phone like we’ve been doing.
So, this matter absolutely requires approval.
After chatting briefly with Cai Jing and Luo Yuan, Wu Yu headed straight to the Boss’s office in the office building.
“Wu Yu, how was the live stream today?”
Shen Rou asked with concern as Wu Yu entered.
She had personally approved the launch of the online store, so she was quite invested in the live stream’s results.
Upon hearing Shen Rou’s question, Wu Yu’s expression became a little sheepish.
“Assistant Shen, the results of today’s live stream weren’t very ideal. Although we had several hundred viewers, only about ten people actually bought clothes, and the total sales came to just over 4,300.”
Shen Rou frowned upon hearing this.
If they were only selling ten items per day, they wouldn’t be able to resolve the backlog of clothes.
As she was deep in thought, Wu Yu continued.
“However, after reviewing the situation, we found that the main reason for the low sales was that we’re not professional sellers. We lack a strong understanding of how to manage the live stream’s pace, making it hard to engage the viewers and encourage them to make purchases.”
“So, after some discussion, we think that in order to increase sales, we need to hire professional live streamers and form a dedicated team. With proper management, the sales should definitely increase.”
“But how much of an increase, I’m not sure. After all, our clothing brand still hasn’t built a reputation, and our prices are comparable to those of well-known brands. Some of our items are even priced higher.”
Wu Yu shared his thoughts.
Shen Rou listened to his explanation, her mind conflicted.
Approving the formation of a professional selling team carried a certain risk. If the sales generated by the team weren’t enough to cover their costs, the company would essentially be running an unprofitable project.
President Chen trusted her greatly, but if, within just a few days of his absence, she allowed the company to take on a money-losing project, he would likely be very disappointed when he returned.
But if she didn’t approve it, they wouldn’t be able to solve the current problem of the clothing backlog.
Shen Rou was stuck in a dilemma. She wanted to resolve the company’s difficulties but didn’t want to take on too much risk.
After thinking for a moment, she picked up a notebook from the side and flipped through a few pages.
Her eyes then fixed on a sentence.
“Every project carries risks. Don’t be afraid of losses, don’t let fear hold you back.”
This was something she had noted when President Chen was persuading Pang Tao about the Pet Park project.
President Chen was bold enough to invest five million without hesitation, yet here she was, unable to make a decision about a small live streaming team.
She realized she lacked courage.
Right now, the only solution she could think of to solve the clothing backlog was to recruit a live streaming team. So what was there to hesitate about?
If there were losses, they would find a way to fix it. But if nothing was done, nothing would change.
Furthermore, if they didn’t hire a live streaming team, Wu Yu and the others would continue to handle the streams, which would affect their ability to focus on other business tasks.
With her thoughts clarified, Shen Rou made her decision. She looked up at Wu Yu.
“I approve the recruitment of the live streaming team. I’ll notify Human Resources to begin the hiring process shortly. If you have any ideas or specific requirements, feel free to communicate with them.”
Wu Yu was taken aback upon hearing this.
He had seen how long Assistant Shen had been thinking and thought that the live streaming team idea was likely off the table. To his surprise, she had suddenly agreed.
“Okay, Assistant Shen, I’ll communicate with Human Resources then.”
Having confirmed the plan, Wu Yu quickly left the office and headed toward the Human Resources department.
He needed to get this sorted out as soon as possible. Tomorrow, he had meetings with several clients introduced by Lin Mei regarding agency deals.
The agency business was very important, and he needed to put in his best effort to secure these clients.
And also, there was the issue with Li Shen’s live streaming account. He needed to discuss that with Shen Ge as well.
As dusk approached, in a private dining room of a restaurant in Xiguang County, Chen Mo had already ordered the meal. Around the table were Li Shen and Yang Dahai, along with a pair of women.
“Yang Ge, thanks so much for your help today,” Chen Mo said, looking at the father and daughter with gratitude.
The progress in Liuhe Village had been slow today. Most of the villagers spoke with strong local dialects, making communication very difficult.
Had it not been for Yang Xingguo and his daughter, they wouldn’t have been able to finish the survey of the village in one day.
Not to mention distributing the rice, flour, and oil to the elderly who needed help.
“President Chen, you’re too polite. Helping those elderly people is a great act of kindness. I’m just helping a little. It’s nothing,” Yang Xingguo replied, looking at Chen Mo with admiration.
Throughout the day, he had witnessed this young boss personally distributing two bags of rice, two bags of flour, two buckets of oil, and 5,000 yuan in cash to each elderly household.
The rice and flour aside, just the 5,000 yuan in cash was enough for the elderly to use for a long time.
After all, the elderly were usually very frugal. Even for daily expenses, that 5,000 yuan could last them an entire year.
Compared to the materials donated by President Chen, the little help he had provided was nothing.
Chen Mo smiled slightly and immediately changed the subject.
“I’m not sure, Yang Ge, but are you busy these couple of days? If not, would you be able to guide us for a few days? We still need to visit a few other villages to donate supplies.”
“Don’t worry, we won’t ask you to guide us for free. We’ll pay you accordingly.”
From what he had learned today, he knew that Yang Xingguo was quite familiar with the elderly living alone in the surrounding villages.
If he could help, the donation effort would go more smoothly.
“President Chen, guiding is no problem. But today, I have to send my daughter back. How about I come back tomorrow morning and join you then?”
“As for the reward, just forget it. You’re doing a good deed, how could I accept payment?”
Yang Xingguo immediately agreed without any hesitation.
Ding ding ding!
A sudden ringtone came from the side.
“President Chen, please continue your conversation. I’ll step outside to take this call.”
Li Shen glanced at the caller ID and saw that it was Wu Yu.
He quickly grabbed the phone and walked outside.
