    Chapter 148: Departure for Training

“Since it’s President Chen adopting them, of course I’m at ease. President Chen, feel free to pick any dog from the base,” Xu Zhengming said with a warm smile. Whether it was President Chen’s kind gesture or his financial strength, adopting a few dogs was absolutely no burden.

Hearing this, Chen Mo started walking around the backyard. In the end, he picked four huskies and one border collie.

Of course, he didn’t choose them based on breed—it was just that he noticed these five dogs had hearty appetites when the volunteers fed them.

Once the dogs were selected, things here were just about wrapped up.

He said his goodbyes and left.

“Take care, President Chen. I’ll have someone deliver those dogs to you within the next couple of days,” Xu Zhengming waved goodbye at the entrance of the Corner Cat and Dog Rescue Shelter.

    “Alright,”

Chen Mo nodded, then remembered something and added, “When Pang Tao wakes up, make sure to tell him to bring the project proposal to me on Monday. We’ll discuss the investment.”

That was the biggest takeaway from his visit today.

Though, that Pang Tao really couldn’t hold his liquor—just a few beers and he was completely drunk. Otherwise, Chen Mo would’ve settled the project on the spot.

    After leaving the shelter—

Tang Qiu drove off by herself, while Song Xia rode back with him in the company’s business car.

Tomorrow, Song Xia would head off to Beijing for training, and he had some things to go over with her.

“Don’t forget to bring some employees along for the training tomorrow!”

That directly impacted how much system funds he could spend, so he had to stress it.

    “I know, President Chen.”

Song Xia nodded. Bringing an employee meant a 1000 yuan per head bonus. Even if Chen Mo hadn’t reminded her, she would’ve taken it seriously.

After giving her the final instructions about the training, Chen Mo checked the time—it was already 3 p.m.

So instead of heading back to the factory, he just went straight home.

At the Garment Factory — Staff Cafeteria

Li Shen placed the packed lunch boxes on the window ledge, and in no time, they were snatched up.

Some employees who didn’t manage to grab one couldn’t help but complain.

“Brother Li, can’t you prepare a few more boxes? Thirty or forty a day isn’t nearly enough!”

“Yeah, just make a few more—I’d pay extra.”

Li Shen looked at the disappointed employees who missed out and gave a helpless smile.

He did want to prepare more, but President Chen simply wouldn’t allow it!

Watching the crowd walk away disappointed made Li Shen feel a little regretful. Such a great customer base, and yet he could only sell 30-something meals a day—that was such a waste.

    He sighed.

Then he gathered the empty boxes and started filming a video in the cafeteria.

“Hello, everyone! Today I’m going to show you what we eat here at the garment factory—look at these dishes, aren’t they something?”

“And check out the environment in our cafeteria…”

After recording, Li Shen edited the video carefully and uploaded it.

“How’s the video doing? Getting views?” Wang Maonian asked, sitting down nearby.

“Not much traffic yet. It’s only been a few days since I started posting videos—it’s normal,” Li Shen replied calmly. He wasn’t expecting instant viral success; that kind of luck was rare.

But he already had a plan. If things still didn’t pick up, he’d come up with some scripts and have a few employees act out some scenes to make the videos more fun and engaging.

It could help retain viewers while also showing the best side of the company.

So for now, he wasn’t worried about low traffic.

Worst case, he could just spend some money to boost the videos.

President Chen was already paying them generous salaries—spending a bit of his own money to promote the company was nothing.

    The Next Morning

Song Xia arrived at the airport early. This was her first time flying in her life, and she couldn’t help feeling a little excited.

“Hello, Ms. Song. You’ve booked a first-class ticket, so please wait in the VIP lounge. When it’s time to board, our staff will notify you. There’s no need to queue for a boarding check.”

An airport staff member spoke to her politely.

    “Ah! Okay!”

    Song Xia nodded nervously.

She already knew Chen Mo had booked her a first-class seat, but she hadn’t expected this kind of treatment.

Thinking back to how she’d been anxiously looking for the boarding gate just a moment ago, she felt a bit embarrassed.

Soon, it was time to board.

Guided by the staff, she boarded the plane smoothly.

Entering the first-class cabin, she sat down rather awkwardly on the spacious, comfy seat.

She looked around the cabin in a daze. Since it was her first time flying—let alone in first class—she was completely at a loss.

At times, when the flight attendants asked her questions, she didn’t even know how to respond.

    Just like that,

    About two hours later,

The plane finally landed at Beijing Airport.

Song Xia eagerly disembarked and took a taxi to the hotel President Chen had booked for her.

When she entered her hotel room—

She was once again blown away by the luxury. This was a high-end suite.

The décor and amenities were more lavish than her home.

Suddenly, Song Xia had a strange feeling—Am I here for training, or on vacation?

She couldn’t help but marvel a little.

Then she put her luggage away and left the hotel to head to the barista training school.

Since Chen Mo had invested so much in her training, she was determined to take it seriously and study hard.

    Monday Morning

Chen Mo arrived at the garment factory early.

He sat in his chair and briefly reviewed the plans he’d set in motion over the past few days.

The factory’s transformation had already been arranged—now it was just a matter of renovations and machine purchases.

At Cangxue Games, apart from the profitable Tianlong, there was only the new project in Fang Chang’s hands. Whether they could turn Cangxue from profit to loss depended entirely on that project.

He had even barred Wei Yan and Zhao Bowen from getting involved—he trusted Fang Chang’s ability completely.

Then there was the café. Song Xia was already undergoing training in Beijing, and next up was the café’s renovation.

There was no rush on that. Once Wang Yang finished the design draft and it got approved, they could start work immediately.

At the moment, all three of his companies were progressing just as planned.

Which meant it was time to focus on a new project.

He had already arranged for Lawyer Tang and Pang Tao from the shelter to come in today to discuss the investment.

He was very optimistic about this project—it would absolutely help him burn through a large chunk of system funds, and the losses would be long-term and consistent.

With this project in place, it would greatly ease the pressure caused by Tianlong’s profits.

    Not long after,

There was a knock at the office door. Pang Tao walked in cautiously.

Seeing Pang Tao arrive, Chen Mo was delighted and quickly stood up to greet him.

“Brother Pang, have a seat. Lawyer Tang will be here soon. Then we can discuss the project together.”

Hearing that, Pang Tao hesitated for a moment before speaking slowly.

“President Chen… about that pet park project… I think you shouldn’t do it.”
