Make Money C136
by MarineTLChapter 136 – Isn’t That Our Rich Backer?
Chen Mo fell silent.
It seemed relying on those charity organizations to spend the charity funds was clearly not going to work.
Looks like he’d have to find beneficiaries for the funds himself.
Chen Mo had a bit of a headache—he didn’t have the faintest clue where to start looking for people in need of financial help.
Why did everything become so difficult when it came to him?
Other company bosses lose money with ease—effortlessly, even.
But for him, to lose a bit of money, he had to rack his brains and jump through hoops.
Now he couldn’t even find anyone to donate to.
It was just too hard!
…
Half an hour later,
Wang Yang arrived at the garment factory office with Chen Jun.
“President Chen, this is my colleague Chen Jun.”
“Hello, President Chen.”
After Wang Yang’s introduction, Chen Jun quickly greeted him.
“Hello! Have a seat, let’s talk.”
Chen Mo smiled and pointed to the office chairs.
“Thank you!”
Wang Yang took the seat beside him and looked toward Chen Mo.
“President Chen, may I ask where the workshop to be renovated is? We can head over now.”
“Wait a moment—someone will take you there. Let me briefly go over the renovation materials. Make sure everything used is a well-known brand…”
Chen Mo briefly explained his requirements. As for the workshop itself, he’d called Jiang Cheng over—after all, he wasn’t exactly an expert on what needed arranging for workshop renovations.
Soon,
Jiang Cheng arrived at the office.
“Jiang Cheng, these two are Wang Yang and Chen Jun from the renovation company. Take them over to the new workshop for measurements. Coordinate with them on everything needed for the renovation.”
Chen Mo said upon seeing Jiang Cheng walk in.
“Understood, President Chen.”
Jiang Cheng nodded and greeted Wang Yang and Chen Jun.
The group left the office together and headed toward the new workshop.
“President Chen, this is the report from Cangxue Games.”
Once they had left, Shen Rou brought over a freshly printed report.
Chen Mo took the report, glanced at it casually, and tossed it aside.
Even without looking, he knew they were definitely making money.
After a moment’s thought,
He looked up at Shen Rou.
“From now on, just have them send this report once a week.”
Tianlong was, at least for now, thriving. Trying to lose money was flat-out impossible.
So why bother looking at the report every day and making himself upset?
“Understood, President Chen.”
Shen Rou nodded and carefully picked up the report that had been tossed aside.
About an hour later,
Wang Yang and Chen Jun returned to the office.
“President Chen, we’ve finished taking measurements. We’ll head back now to work on the renovation plan.”
“No rush. I have another store that needs renovation—come with me to take a look.”
Chen Mo said as he stood and walked out of the office. He had already notified Yang Dahai in advance, so the company car was parked right outside the workshop.
Chen Jun got into his own car, entered the address Chen Mo had just given into the GPS, and slowly followed behind the business vehicle.
…
“This is the place.”
Chen Mo brought Wang Yang and Chen Jun to the front of a milk tea shop and pointed.
“This milk tea shop, and the coffee shop next to it, both need to be renovated. I want to combine them into one larger coffee shop.”
“The style should be trendy and classy—something that gives people the impression that the coffee here must be expensive. And again, use only high-quality materials.”
He was going to make this coffee shop look as luxurious as possible, so it would naturally filter out the more frugal types.
“Understood, President Chen.”
Wang Yang nodded and walked into the coffee shop with Chen Jun.
“Wang Yang, is this how President Chen usually gives instructions too?”
Once they were inside,
Chen Jun looked at Wang Yang with some curiosity. Even from this brief interaction, his impression of President Chen was clear—
“Use the expensive stuff. I’m not short on money!”
“Yeah, President Chen is very particular about materials—only top brands.”
Hearing Wang Yang’s reply,
Chen Jun understood immediately. No wonder Wang Yang’s previous renovation budgets were so high—and still got approved.
Isn’t this guy just a gold-plated sugar daddy?
Sigh!
Chen Jun secretly sighed. If Wang Yang landed these two orders, his own shot at top salesperson of the quarter was done for.
And not just this coffee shop—
Even that 2,000-square-meter factory renovation was out of his league.
If you added this coffee shop too, Chen Jun felt Wang Yang could very well become the top salesperson of the year.
That was terrifying.
You had to realize—Wang Yang had only just passed his probation a few months ago. In just a few months, he might claim the annual sales crown. It felt unreal just thinking about it.
…
“Lawyer Tang, you’re here too!”
When Chen Mo walked into the milk tea shop, he saw that Tang Qiu was sitting inside.
“Oh, I went with Song Xia this morning to file some paperwork. We stopped in here to rest a bit after.”
Tang Qiu stood and explained when she saw Chen Mo enter.
“Oh!”
Chen Mo walked over to the table where Song Xia and Tang Qiu were sitting and pulled over a chair.
“How’s the business license coming along?”
“All the documents have been submitted. It should be ready in about a week.”
Tang Qiu replied.
“Oh right, Chen Mo—the owner of the coffee shop heard you’re opening one too and said he’s willing to sell you his coffee machines and equipment at a discount.”
“I looked into the original prices—it really is a big discount.”
Song Xia leaned forward on the table and spoke up suddenly.
“Oh, no need. Since it’s a new store, all the equipment should be new too. No need for second-hand stuff.”
Chen Mo declined without hesitation.
He was already stressing about how to spend more money—why would he go buy discounted used coffee machines?
“Oh…”
Song Xia pouted a little. She’d thought she found a good way for Chen Mo to save money, but he shot it down immediately.
Chen Mo, however, didn’t pay attention to her reaction. After a moment of thought, he said,
“The business license won’t be ready for another week, so I’ll have to wait until then to officially sign the labor contract with you.”
“But I won’t let you work for free these few days. Once we sign the contract, I’ll count these days as paid overtime.”
“For now, your base salary will be 8,000 a month, plus a 1% profit commission from the store. How does that sound?”
Song Xia’s jaw dropped slightly at the offer.
When she used to work in a milk tea shop, she’d done her research. The average salary for a store manager was between 4,000 and 6,000—with no profit-sharing.
And Chen Mo was offering her eight thousand—plus a 1% profit cut?
That was way too generous.
But she quickly thought of a problem and looked up at Chen Mo.
“The coffee shop’s renovation will take at least a month, right? If I sign the contract now, there won’t be anything for me to do…”
“Wouldn’t taking your money for nothing feel kind of wrong?”
