Chapter 177: Introducing Clients

Wu Yu’s eyes lit up when he heard Cai Jing’s suggestion.

This idea was actually quite good. Even if they couldn’t secure an agent, they could still promote the designs of Clothing Factory’s clothes.

“This method works. So during the live stream, I’ll handle the broadcast, and you two will try on the Clothing Factory outfits and showcase them in the stream.”

“One of you can handle men’s wear, and the other women’s wear.”

“If we manage to secure an agent during the live stream, we’ll split it three ways.”

Wu Yu looked at Luo Yuan and Cai Jing seriously as he spoke.

It’s important to be clear about money matters.

These two were helping with the live stream, so they deserved to get a share if anything came of it.

After all, helping with the live stream also meant they were taking time away from their business tasks.

“No problem.”

Cai Jing and Luo Yuan both nodded.

Even if they went out to drum up business, they might not secure an agent. But at least with the live stream, even if they couldn’t secure an agent, they’d still be promoting the company.

“Alright, I’ll go find Brother Jiang and discuss with him. We’ll need to get a set of clothing styles from the production line for the live stream.”

Wu Yu said as he left the Business Department and headed for the Production Department in the office building.

However, when he arrived, he didn’t find Jiang Cheng in the office.

Wu Yu immediately guessed that Jiang Cheng must be in the workshop. Even though President Chen had set up an office for him in the building, Brother Jiang rarely stayed there and was usually in the workshop.

Arriving at the workshop, Wu Yu asked around and eventually found Jiang Cheng behind a machine.

“Brother Jiang, are you busy?”

Wu Yu asked, seeing Jiang Cheng fiddling with something behind a machine.

“Oh, Wu Yu.”

Jiang Cheng looked up and recognized him. “What’s up?”

“I have something to discuss, but it’s not urgent. You can finish up first.”

“It’s nothing. I’m just checking the machine’s structure to see if there’s any way to improve it and boost efficiency.”

Jiang Cheng stood up from behind the machine, grabbed a cloth, and quickly wiped his hands.

“Let’s go. We can talk in the employee break room.”

“Okay!”

Wu Yu nodded.

He knew the break room. It was a space specifically for employees to relax or have a smoke since smoking wasn’t allowed in the workshop due to the fire risk from the fabrics.

When they arrived in the break room, Wu Yu quickly explained the live stream situation.

“This is a good thing. The finished clothes are over by the packaging area. I’ll let them know, and you can pick them up from there.”

Jiang Cheng didn’t hesitate and immediately agreed.

This was a good opportunity for Clothing Factory, and he had no reason to refuse.

He also knew that Li Shen had done a live stream in the workshop before.

“Thanks a lot, Brother Jiang.”

Wu Yu expressed his gratitude.

“No problem. If it benefits the company, just let me know. I’m getting old, and I’m not too familiar with live streams, so you guys handle it.”

Jiang Cheng said earnestly.

Recently, there had been no progress in securing agents for Clothing Factory, and he was feeling quite anxious.

The clothing produced was piling up in the warehouse, and that was money just sitting there.

However, he had no clue how to help with securing agents and could only do his best to cooperate.

After finishing his discussion with Jiang Cheng, Wu Yu returned to the Business Department to start preparing.

As soon as he returned, his phone rang. Looking at the caller ID, he was surprised.

Sister Lin?

Why was she calling?

He was puzzled, but since she was the first potential agent client, he couldn’t afford to ignore her.

He picked up the phone.

“Sister Lin, what’s up?”

“Wu Yu, when you have time, come out and meet with me. I want to introduce you to a few clients.”

“Are these clients your friends, Sister Lin?”

As soon as Wu Yu heard she was introducing clients, he quickly asked.

“Kind of. We’re friends who often play mahjong together. Yesterday while playing, I mentioned the idea of joining the clothing store franchise, and they seemed pretty interested.”

“But whether we can close the deal depends on your skills.”

Lin Mei explained over the phone. The people she played mahjong with had a lot of spare money. They often spent tens of thousands on shopping, clothes, or bags.

And she’d won quite a bit of money from them while playing mahjong, so getting them to invest in the franchise would be a good move for everyone. After all, it would help Clothing Factory make some money, and the more money the factory made, the more good things they could do.

“So, how about the day after tomorrow?”

Wu Yu asked, as tomorrow was Friday, and the following Saturday would be a good day for a meeting.

“That works. Do you want to arrange the location, or should I?”

Wu Yu thought for a moment. He had heard that Nanhe Coffee’s business hadn’t been doing well lately, and this might be a good opportunity to bring them there.

After all, the taste of their coffee was excellent, the only issue being the slightly higher price. But from what Sister Lin had said, her friends weren’t short on money.

Bringing them to Nanhe Coffee might also help attract more customers for the coffee shop.

“Sister Lin, I’ll handle the arrangements. Our President Chen also owns a Specialty Coffee Shop, and the environment and taste are both excellent. We can meet there.”

“Okay, what’s the name of the shop?”

“Nanhe Coffee.”

“Nanhe Coffee? Is that ‘bad coffee’?”

Lin Mei seemed confused. Had she misheard?

“No, it’s ‘Nanhe,’ as in the direction south, and ‘He,’ meaning harmony,” Wu Yu quickly clarified, realizing she had misunderstood.

“Ah, okay, I got it. We’ll meet there. We’ll confirm the exact time later.”

After hanging up, Wu Yu set aside the meeting for the day after tomorrow and focused back on preparing for the live stream.

He found Cai Jing and Luo Yuan and started discussing what needed to be done during the stream, the key points to focus on, and how to make it more engaging.
