Chapter 41: Since You Made the Plan, I’m at Ease

“Did you make all these plans yourself?”

Chen Mo casually flipped through the plans, but he couldn’t understand them. So, he simply asked the one question he cared about the most.

Since Fang Chang had previously made a plan that successfully put the company into a deficit, as long as he confirmed that this plan was his, then there was definitely no problem.

    “Yes, President Chen.”

Fang Chang nodded nervously. He didn’t know why President Chen was asking this, but he still answered truthfully.

“Then there’s no problem. Pick the one you think is best out of these three plans.”

Once Fang Chang confirmed it, Chen Mo nodded reassuringly and handed the plans back to him.

Letting him choose on his own might even lead to picking the most unprofitable plan.

Fang Chang looked at the plans in his hands, feeling deeply touched. He never expected President Chen to trust him so much.

    “Thank you, President Chen.”

After expressing his gratitude, he selected one of the plans.

It was an FPS shooting game. Compared to the current FPS games on the market, he had designed many new gameplay mechanics.

He believed that once this game was made, it would break the status quo of FPS games.

Most importantly, he had seen someone else with a similar idea on a game design forum.

This made him feel an urgent need to develop it, so he directly chose this plan.

“President Chen, let’s go with this one. You should take another look at it.”

As he spoke, he handed the selected plan back to Chen Mo.

However, Chen Mo didn’t even glance at it. He casually said,

“I won’t look at the plan. As long as you know what you’re doing, that’s enough. Tell me, how much budget do you need?”

Budget was what he cared about the most.

“President Chen, the preliminary production cost for this plan is about 300,000 yuan, but that doesn’t include future testing and marketing expenses.”

Fang Chang spoke cautiously. 300,000 yuan was the absolute minimum to develop this game—he wasn’t sure if President Chen would agree.

    Only 300,000?

Chen Mo thought for a moment and then said decisively,

“I’ll give you a budget of 500,000. Make sure this game is done well.”

Opportunities to spend money like this weren’t common, so he had to spend a little extra.

Fang Chang was stunned for a moment before bowing in gratitude.

“Thank you, President Chen! I’ll do my best to develop this game properly!”

He never expected President Chen to trust him so much—to give him an extra 200,000 without hesitation.

After working in planning for so many years, this was the first time he had encountered such a trusting boss.

A man will give his life for someone who truly understands him!

Fang Chang made a firm decision in his heart—he would make sure this game was a success and bring profits to the company.

“Alright, since the plan is decided, you handle the rest. I’ll be going now.”

Seeing that there was nothing else for him to do, Chen Mo got up and left.

After all, staying here wouldn’t be of any help.

Better to let Fang Chang do his thing.

With his ability, losing money was not a problem—just a matter of how much.

Chen Mo thought this to himself as he happily left Cangxue Games.

This visit had cost another 500,000, leaving the system’s funds at just over 1.2 million.

And the budget for renovating the employee dormitory hadn’t come in yet. According to his estimates, the renovation would cost around 800,000.

That would leave the system with about 400,000.

Meanwhile, the clothing factory employees were about to receive their second paycheck, and there was also another company team-building event to organize.

That 400,000 would be spent in no time.

He hadn’t expected to burn through the system funds so smoothly this time—it didn’t take long to nearly empty them out.

    Late at Night, Jiangcheng University

Shen Rou returned to her dormitory after finishing her part-time job.

“You’re back! So, did you do what they did in the drama today?”

Zhang Lan immediately perked up with curiosity when she saw Shen Rou return.

Last night, she had caught Shen Rou secretly watching the drama she had recommended.

Knowing Shen Rou’s personality, if she had decided to watch it, then she must have been planning to learn from it.

After all, the relationship between a boss and their secretary or assistant had always been a rather ambiguous topic.

She was really curious about what would happen if Shen Rou acted like the characters in the drama.

With Shen Rou’s looks, the young boss would surely be moved, right?

“I only did part of it.”

Shen Rou slumped into her chair and answered casually.

She had indeed only done part of it.

As for the rest—it wasn’t that she didn’t want to do it, but that she simply couldn’t.

For example: helping the boss tie his tie.

The problem was that President Chen always wore casual sportswear, so there was no need for a tie at all.

“So, how did your boss react?”

Zhang Lan asked curiously, her face full of gossip.

“Not much reaction, just a little surprised.”

Shen Rou recalled President Chen’s reaction—aside from looking a bit surprised, he hadn’t really shown any other expressions.

    “That’s it?”

Zhang Lan pouted in disappointment and flopped back onto her bed.

Seeing Zhang Lan looking so let down, Shen Rou felt speechless. Did she really want something to happen that badly?

But she quickly remembered something and added,

“He didn’t really react much in terms of expressions, but he did give me another raise.”

“Another raise? How much this time?”

Zhang Lan was stunned. She remembered that Shen Rou had just gotten a raise not long ago, and now she was getting another one? That seemed a bit excessive.

    “Two thousand.”

    Shen Rou answered casually.

“Another two thousand?! So now your salary is 10,000?”

    Zhang Lan’s jaw dropped.

In less than a month, her salary had jumped from 6,000 to 10,000.

If she hadn’t heard it directly from Shen Rou, she wouldn’t have believed it at all.

Was this boss running a company or doing charity work?!

What kind of business gives out raises like this?

    The Next Morning

Chen Mo arrived at the company early.

Today, he had something particularly important to do—punish the high-performing employees.

    Oh!

    Not punish—exercise.

The employees’ physical fitness was too poor, so they needed some training to improve it.

    “Stand in line properly!”

Li Shen stood at the front, directing the employees to form a neat line.

Some time ago, he had been appointed as the production supervisor for the workshop, so all workshop-related matters were his responsibility.

This was also something Chen Mo deeply regretted.

This guy was the reason he failed his second settlement.

If he had known Li Shen was such a sneaky troublemaker, he wouldn’t have appointed him in the first place.

But now that he was already appointed, Chen Mo couldn’t just demote him without a valid reason.

Still, while he couldn’t change his position, he could certainly make him suffer.

    Oh!

    Not suffer—exercise.

“President Chen, all employees are assembled!”

Li Shen finished organizing the team and quickly ran up to Chen Mo to report.

Chen Mo looked at the lineup and saw that all the key people were there.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.
