Queen’s Casino exploded?
The moment Old Morgan heard the news, his brows furrowed sharply. He immediately realized that this explosion was undoubtedly connected to The Organization responsible for his grandson’s murder.
It was just like the arson at Knight Bar—clearly an attempt to destroy evidence.
Moreover…
Su Ming had previously mentioned that this was a massive criminal organization, suspected to be the so-called Poker Organization. The killer who murdered his grandson had worn a ring marked with the letter J.
The criminal tracked by the Dragon Country Police was codenamed K. Now, with the explosion at Queen’s Casino, the figure behind the scenes was practically calling out to them.
Between J and K… there was Q.
Su Ming and his team had only just arrived in the United States for a few hours before Queen’s Casino went up in flames. This clearly showed that the enemy was deeply wary of the Dragon Country Police.
If it had been the useless New York Police Department instead, they likely wouldn’t have uncovered anything at all.
The enemy probably wouldn’t have been willing to destroy such a profitable casino just to erase clues and prevent further exposure.
From this alone, Old Morgan—an experienced businessman—immediately understood that the Dragon Country Police must be truly capable. Only then could they pressure such a ruthless organization into this level of desperation.
With that thought, the worry and tension in Old Morgan’s heart eased slightly. He turned to his respectful secretary and said in a calm voice:
“I understand.”
“Do everything you can to suppress the public impact of this explosion. This wasn’t a terrorist attack, but the act of a criminal organization hiding in the United States.”
“Also, if the Dragon Country Police need any help, as long as it’s not excessive, provide it immediately. If there are any issues regarding authority or confidentiality, just inform me directly.”
“And there’s no need to pester those Dragon Country officers about their progress every day. Just wait for the results in seven days.”
“But if there’s a major operation, make sure I’m informed right away.”
“Now I’m even more eager to see… whether things will unfold just as Chief Su Ming said. That seven days was just a conservative estimate, and in reality, he might bring the killer before me in just three.”
“If he really pulls that off, then working with them on certain matters in the future might not be so difficult after all.”
It was clear now.
Just from the fact that the Poker Organization had taken the initiative to blow up Queen’s Casino, Old Morgan could already see…
Su Ming’s earlier promises were not the least bit exaggerated. The pressure he brought to bear on the criminals far surpassed anything the New York Police Department could manage.
At the very least…
If it had been someone like Walker, that pathetic excuse for a cop, the organization would never have been willing to pay such a steep price.
…
At that moment.
With a professional driver pushing the vehicle at full speed,
It took less than half an hour for Su Ming and his team to arrive at the site of Queen’s Casino.
Even before they got close, the wailing of fire truck sirens was already echoing loudly in their ears.
Just as previously mentioned, in terms of professionalism among official organizations in the United States, firefighters were far more competent than the police.
The luxurious Mercedes van pulled to a stop outside the cordoned-off area.
Without hesitation, Su Ming opened the front passenger door and stepped out, carefully surveying the wreckage of Queen’s Casino.
The entire ten-story building had collapsed. Shattered concrete, glass, and other debris had been blasted dozens of meters away. Even though the perimeter had been set up far from the wreckage, the ground was still littered with rubble.
Aside from the onlookers, numerous firefighters had already entered the ruins, dousing the areas still billowing black smoke to prevent any secondary explosions.
Only after ensuring there were no open flames and no risk of further explosions would they begin a detailed search and rescue.
Scanning the scene carefully,
Su Ming spotted a middle-aged man who looked like he was in charge. He wore a professional fireproof suit, held a walkie-talkie, and had a grave expression in his eyes.
From his demeanor alone, Su Ming immediately identified him as the person in charge.
He stepped over the police tape and quickly approached the man, extending a hand in greeting.
“Hello.”
“I’m an external consultant for the New York Police Department.”
“I need to enter the ruins immediately to examine the scene and search for clues related to a case.”
Before he could finish speaking,
The firefighter in the fireproof suit turned to look at Su Ming, his eyes filled with confusion and doubt.
He didn’t understand… why an Asian man was claiming to be an external consultant for the NYPD. Especially since Chief Walker hadn’t even arrived yet—how could a consultant have shown up first?
Despite his confusion, the firefighter maintained his professionalism and courtesy. He shook Su Ming’s hand, then shrugged helplessly and politely declined.
“Hello, my friend.”
“This area is extremely dangerous right now. I can’t agree to let you enter just yet.”
“Of course, if you’re not afraid of the danger and insist on conducting a detailed inspection, I’ll need you to provide some form of identification…”
Before he could finish his sentence,
The sound of urgent police sirens grew louder in the distance.
A Chevrolet police car screeched to a halt outside the cordon, leaving two long skid marks on the pavement.
Moments later,
Chief Walker flung open the car door and spotted Su Ming and the firefighter. Puffing out his round belly, he waved and shouted loudly:
“Captain Paul, Captain Paul!”
“This is my friend. Chief Su Ming is my most important friend!”
As he shouted, Chief Walker jogged over to them, barely catching his breath before turning to the firefighter and speaking earnestly.
“Captain Paul.”
“This is Chief Su Ming from the Dragon Country. He was personally invited by top officials to investigate the Young Master Morgan case. He’s a top-tier detective.”
“If he needs anything, please cooperate fully. You know… those big shots are not people we can afford to offend.”
Hearing this,
And especially upon seeing Walker’s swollen face and hearing him mention Little Morgan, Captain Paul’s expression immediately turned serious. He quickly looked at Su Ming and said,
“My apologies, Chief Su Ming.”
“I wasn’t informed in advance, so I stopped you earlier.”
“Are you planning to go in now to search for clues related to the case? However, there are still open flames and a risk of explosion.”
“My suggestion is… you wear a fireproof suit before entering. That way, we can avoid any unnecessary injuries.”
“Also, if possible, I’d like to do a preliminary scan with a life detector to check if any civilians are trapped under the rubble.”
At Captain Paul’s words,
Su Ming narrowed his eyes slightly, then glanced at the smoldering ruins before him. His tone left no room for doubt.
“Captain Paul.”
“There’s actually no need for a deep search. If I’m not mistaken, there are only corpses beneath this rubble. Not a single survivor.”
“Of course, by corpses, I mean… the subordinates of the Queen’s Casino’s secret owner…”
