Chapter 315: The One You Drowned in New York Harbor Will Bring Disaster Upon Us

    At this moment.

Inside a luxury villa in New York.

Q, clad in silk pajamas that showed off her stunning figure, sat with a face mask on. Her expression was dark as she lowered the phone from her ear.

Leaning back against the sofa with her chin slightly raised, she closed her eyes, looking somewhat exhausted.

    A few seconds later.

She suddenly tore the mask from her face and flung it to the floor. Her fury reignited, she snatched up the phone on the table and dialed a number.

As soon as the call connected, Q erupted in a furious roar.

    “J.”

“You goddamn bastard, you son of a bitch.”

“Why don’t you just drop dead already? Look at the mess you’ve made. How the hell am I supposed to clean this up for you?”

Q’s sudden outburst seemed to catch J on the other end completely off guard. He hadn’t expected Q to lash out like this.

Then, unexpectedly, a flirtatious female voice came through the line.

    “Oppa~”

“What’s wrong? Why’d you stop all of a sudden?”

“Whose call is this? Just hang up on her for now…”

Before the woman could finish her sentence—

    Smack!

    A crisp slap rang out.

It seemed J had vented his anger on the woman beneath him. His voice followed, low and heavy with tension.

    “Q.”

“What happened? What’s got you so worked up that you’re cursing me like this?”

“You know… in The Thirteen, aside from Boss K, you’re the one I respect the most.”

Clearly, even though he’d just been chewed out, J managed to keep his composure. He was irritated, yes, but he knew Q wouldn’t fly off the handle over something trivial.

Sensing the confusion in his tone, Q let out a cold laugh, her voice biting as she spoke through clenched teeth.

“You really don’t know what happened?”

“Then do you remember… that time you dumped someone into New York Harbor over those whores at your club? That person you couldn’t afford to offend?”

“You thought you were so clever, thought you could provoke those giants and get away with it. And then, a few months later, you started getting blackmail messages. Ring any bells?”

At the mention of that incident, J’s voice turned cold with impatience.

    “Q.”

    “That was already dealt with.”

“Everyone who knew about it has been taken care of, haven’t they? Even Lan Cai’er, who returned to Dragon Country, was taken out by Boss K.”

“So why are you bringing it up again now?”

“Is it because Boss K is about to come back, and you know you won’t be able to keep throwing your weight around, so you’re taking it out on me?”

“Q, I think… you owe me an apology for what you just said—”

Before J could finish, Q cut him off again, her fury boiling over.

    “Dealt with?”

    “Dealt with your damn mother!”

“To cover for you, K sent Priest. I even had Gray Wolf go to Dragon Country to trade his life. We even got Professor involved to assist.”

“But now… let me make it crystal clear for you. Ghost, the one who knows everything, has been captured by the police. It won’t be long before the whole world knows what happened.”

“You run a damn brothel and think you’re untouchable. If you had half of K’s brains and thought things through, you’d never have touched someone like that.”

“Even Professor had to curry favor with that man. And you—how dare you? How dare you throw him into New York Harbor? Was your brain completely consumed by women?”

“You’ve stirred up a disaster so massive, not even a mop could clean up the mess.”

As her words landed, J on the other end fell silent. His voice came back hoarse.

    “What’s going on?”

“Wasn’t Ghost one of Boss K’s men? How did it come to this?”

“With Boss K’s methods, Ghost should’ve never slipped out of control. How did he end up in Dragon Country’s police custody?”

“And Priest and Gray Wolf… aren’t they our top assassins? How could they not take care of one Ghost?”

“Didn’t you chase Ghost so hard he killed his own wife and went into hiding in prison just to survive? Why is he suddenly such a problem now?”

    “Why? Why?”

Q, already furious by nature, could no longer contain her rage. Her voice was sharp and merciless.

“What good are all your ‘whys’ now?”

“If you had so many questions, why didn’t you ask them back then? Did you really think someone like you—a damn pimp—could afford to mess with a man like that?”

“Do you even realize what you’ve done? Because of you, The Organization—no, even Professor himself—is now in a dangerously passive position.”

“In the United States, you can mess with politicians, cops, even the military. But who gave you the guts to go after the rich? To provoke the capitalists who control elections?”

In that moment, J finally grasped the gravity of the situation.

Back when he impulsively drowned that man, J had known he was playing with fire. He’d even considered coming clean and trading his life to settle the matter.

But K and Q had stepped in to cover for him. They eliminated everyone who knew the truth.

Half a year passed. He thought Lan Cai’er had taken the secret to her grave, buried at the bottom of the sea. He believed he’d dodged a bullet.

But now… Ghost had resurfaced. Worse, he’d been captured by the Dragon Country Police. It was only a matter of time before the secret was exposed to the world.

J was gripped by fear. He understood exactly what kind of catastrophe was about to unfold.

Once this gets dug up, it won’t just be him—everyone involved, the entire Poker Organization, even Professor and the others, will be dragged down with him.

    Silence.

A silence born of uncertainty, with no idea how to proceed.

Only after several long seconds did J finally speak, his voice hoarse and low.

    “Q.”

“This was something I did on my own. If it really comes down to it, I’ll take full responsibility. Worst case, I’ll trade my life for it. I won’t drag anyone else down with me.”

    In response to J’s decision,

Q let out a cold laugh, mocking him without the slightest mercy.

    “J.”

“You’re just as naive as ever.”

“Do you honestly think… whether or not they go after the others is something you get to decide?”

“Sure, you can die. But what good would that do?”

“Use that brain of yours—if dying could actually solve anything, I would’ve killed you myself a long time ago.”

    At that point,

Q abruptly stopped, his emotions settling into a calm, commanding tone.

“K is already on the plane. For now, stay put in the brothel and don’t go wandering around. In a few hours, head to the airport and bring K back safely.”

“I’m going to ask Professor how we should handle this. We need a solid plan.”

“And one more thing… get rid of that filthy whore under you. I don’t want anyone else knowing what just happened. You’ve already stirred up enough trouble. Got it?”
