Make Money C28
by MarineTLChapter 28: Distributing Benefits
“Alright, Mr. Chen.”
Shen Rou nodded, then opened her computer to start tallying. After a while, she spoke.
“Mr. Chen, our company currently has 26 employees in total.”
26, huh?
Chen Mo muttered under his breath, then picked up a calculator and did some quick math. Looking at the number displayed, he got up and called Shen Rou to leave the office.
He also called over Yang Dahai, who was waiting at the company.
“Mr. Chen, where are we going?”
Sitting in the car, Yang Dahai asked.
“We’re going to Dalefu Supermarket.”
Chen Mo responded quickly. Dalefu was the nearest large supermarket to the company.
About an hour later, the car slowly pulled into Dalefu’s underground parking lot.
“Brother Yang, wait here for a moment. I’ll be right back.”
Leaving that sentence behind, Chen Mo pushed open the car door and got out.
Seeing this, Shen Rou quickly followed, still unsure what Chen Mo was planning to do at the supermarket.
Upon entering the store, Chen Mo took a quick glance around and headed straight for the service counter.
“Hello, sir. How may I assist you?”
The service staff at the counter greeted him with a smile upon seeing him approach.
“I’d like to purchase some shopping cards, each worth 500 yuan.”
Chen Mo spoke decisively. He had already planned this beforehand, so there was nothing to hesitate about.
His employees had been working hard. As their boss, giving them some benefits—one shopping card per person—wasn’t too much to ask, right?
“Sir, how many shopping cards would you like?”
The staff member asked with a polite smile.
“26 cards.”
“Understood.”
The staff was momentarily surprised but then nodded and began preparing the cards.
It had been a long time since she had encountered someone purchasing so many shopping cards in one go.
Standing beside him, Shen Rou finally understood what Chen Mo was doing. She had just told him there were 26 employees in the company, and now he was buying 26 shopping cards.
It was obvious—these were for the employees.
Working for Chen Mo truly felt like a blessing!
“Sir, here are your shopping cards. That will be…”
Chen Mo took the cards, made the payment, and immediately returned to the underground parking lot.
“Brother Yang, let’s go to Xingyu Restaurant.”
Once in the car, Chen Mo instructed.
He had been the company owner for nearly a month now—it was time to organize a team-building event to boost company cohesion.
Xingyu Restaurant was a well-regarded establishment in Jiangcheng, making it a perfect place to spend the remaining system funds in one go.
Leaning back in his seat, Chen Mo slowly relaxed.
Seven thousand yuan? That’s nothing.
The car drove smoothly and soon arrived at Xingyu Restaurant.
“Hello, welcome! How many in your party? Do you have a reservation?”
A server greeted them as soon as they entered.
“No reservation, but I’d like to make one for tonight.”
Chen Mo glanced around at the restaurant’s elegant decor and nodded in satisfaction. A place this luxurious must be expensive.
“Certainly. Please follow me.”
The server respectfully led them to the front desk, explained the situation, and then left.
“Hello, sir. How many people will be attending? What time is the reservation for? Would you like to order the dishes now, or will you decide later?”
The receptionist asked with a professional smile.
“I need seating for 27 people, around 7:30 PM tonight. As for the dishes…”
Chen Mo pondered for a moment before continuing.
“Just arrange the meal within a budget of 44,000 yuan.”
“Sir, did you say 44,000 yuan?”
The receptionist asked, slightly unsure if she had misheard.
“Yes, 44,000 yuan.”
Chen Mo nodded. He had already calculated this—after spending this amount on the meal and distributing a few more benefits later, his system funds would be back to just a few hundred yuan.
Truly genius!
After confirming the reservation, Yang Dahai drove them back to the company.
“Mr. Chen, you wanted to see me?”
Li Shen entered the office and respectfully asked.
“Inform all workshop employees and the chefs from the renovation team to gather in the office lobby in fifteen minutes.”
“Understood, Mr. Chen.”
Fifteen minutes later, Chen Mo stood at the front of the lobby, while all the employees gathered, watching him curiously.
“Mr. Chen, everyone is here,” Shen Rou whispered beside him.
Chen Mo nodded, scanning the crowd before speaking.
“I’ve gathered you all here today to discuss a few things.”
“First, it’s been almost a month since I took over the company. I’ve been observing everyone’s work ethic, and as your boss, I want to reward you with a small benefit.”
With that, he signaled to Shen Rou.
After days of working together, she instantly understood what he meant. She brought out the pre-prepared shopping cards and distributed them to each employee.
Once everyone had received a card, Chen Mo continued.
“These are shopping cards for Dalefu Supermarket, each loaded with 500 yuan. You can use them to buy whatever you need.”
As soon as he finished speaking, gasps of surprise rippled through the employees.
“Please quiet down. Now, onto the second announcement. It’s July, and the entire country has entered a high-temperature period. Since everyone works hard every day, I am issuing a 500-yuan heat allowance, which will be deposited into your bank accounts shortly.”
Another round of astonished murmurs filled the room.
Chen Mo sighed, shaking his head with a helpless smile before continuing.
“Third, the company will be organizing a team dinner to strengthen our bond. Moving forward, these team meals will become a regular occurrence, with all expenses covered by the company.”
“The details of the dinner’s time and location will be posted in the company chat group later.”
“That’s all for now. Dismissed!”
With that, Chen Mo turned and returned to his office.
He then transferred the promised 500-yuan heat allowance into each employee’s account.
Looking at his system funds, which had once again dwindled to just a few hundred yuan, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Good thing the payment didn’t come in at the end of the accounting period—otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to fix it.
He had almost been sabotaged by that traitor Wei Yan again.
Across the room, at her desk, Shen Rou hesitated for a long moment before finally standing up and approaching Chen Mo.
“Mr. Chen, I have something to take care of tonight, so I won’t be able to attend the team dinner.”
She had originally planned to ask her part-time employer for a day off, but then she thought of the orphans at the shelter—those poor kids who often went hungry.
Even though her salary had increased to 8,000 yuan, working an extra part-time shift meant providing another meal for them.
So, after much deliberation, she decided to skip the dinner.
She just wasn’t sure if this would upset Mr. Chen and make him think she wasn’t a team player.
