Chapter 269: Miss Jiang Is Angry!

Inside the Principal’s Office at this moment.

Ma Jian was sitting on the sofa by the window, smiling as he sipped his tea.

Beside him, in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, stood a graceful woman.

She held a cup of hot coffee in one hand, and in the other, a silver spoon, which she used to gently stir the drink.

“Ah, youth really is a wonderful thing…” the woman sighed sincerely.

Hearing this, Ma Jian glanced down at the lively scene on the playground and chuckled in agreement.

“Yes, youth is truly a blessing.”

But then, he changed the subject.

“Actually, you’re still quite young yourself.”

“Not even sixty yet, still in your prime!”

When the woman heard that, she couldn’t help but laugh.

“Ma Jian, how come I never noticed you were such a smooth talker before?”

“That’s because your eyes never lingered on me back then.”

The tone of his words was clearly different.

Ji Ruting let out a soft laugh, withdrew her gaze, and turned back to the sofa beside him.

She sat down gracefully, only half-seated, her posture refined and elegant.

“Old Ma,” she said playfully, “you’re acting strange today~”

Picking up on the subtle implication in his old classmate’s tone, Ma Jian took another sip of tea and gave an awkward smile.

“Old classmate, what do you think about the proposal I mentioned last time?”

“As for putting my name on it, forget it,” Ji Ruting said, setting her coffee cup on the table in front of her.

Then she clasped her hands together and rested them gently on her lap, smiling.

    “How about two dormitory buildings?”

“Any more than that and I won’t have money left for retirement.”

Her words made Ma Jian jolt with excitement.

He immediately sprang up from the sofa and sat down beside Ji Ruting, looking thrilled.

But as soon as he sat down, he sensed something was off.

They were sitting a bit too close. So close, in fact, that he could smell the faint scent of gardenia on her.

He quickly scooted back a little and cleared his throat.

    “Uh, thank you, thank you!”

“I’ll make sure we put up a big plaque for you on the school’s honor wall!”

“You mean the one at the main entrance?” Ji Ruting looked at Ma Jian with a warm smile.

At that moment, Old Ma suddenly realized that might not be the most appropriate place.

    He quickly corrected himself.

“No, no, no, I’ll put it in my office. Uh… actually, I’ll follow your suggestion.”

Just then, there was a sudden knock at the office door.

A rapid “knock knock knock, knock knock knock.”

    Ma Jian frowned.

Who the hell is it now?

Can’t they see I’m busy securing benefits for the school?

But when Ma Jian opened the door and heard what the person outside had to say, he was completely stunned.

At the bottom of the teaching building.

On the steps outside the restroom at the end of the hallway.

From the cigarette butts scattered on the ground, it was clear that Guo Ming and Ge Hanwen had been sitting there for a while.

“So it’s true. I’d only heard rumors you came to our school for that girl.”

“I didn’t expect it to actually be true.”

As he spoke, Guo Ming gave Ge Hanwen a thumbs-up.

“If I’d had your kind of courage back then, maybe I wouldn’t have…”

“Forget it, no point bringing it up.”

Seeing Guo Ming’s expression, Ge Hanwen could more or less guess what had happened.

“Then… Teacher Guo, do you regret it?”

“Regret?” Guo Ming looked up at the sky.

The sun was beginning to set, and not a single cloud marred the vast blue sky.

In that perfect sky, it was as if he could see some long-lost scene.

He stared blankly for a while.

    Then suddenly, Guo Ming smiled.

“Of course I regret it. Who wouldn’t?”

“But there’s no need to dwell on it.”

“It’s all in the past now.”

Ge Hanwen could sense the emotion in his words. In that moment, something seemed to stir deep within him.

He lowered his head and murmured softly.

“Teacher, I understand what you mean.”

And with that, the conversation ended.

Guo Ming shook his head with a smile and reached for his cigarette pack again.

But when he saw it was empty, he finally realized something.

    He smacked his forehead.

“Look at me, chatting away and forgetting I’ve still got a bunch of little punks out on the field.”

“Let’s hope they don’t cause any trouble.”

    However—

Just then, he saw the Principal, the Dean of Students, and a middle-aged woman he didn’t recognize come rushing out with serious expressions.

    His heart skipped a beat.

    Something must have happened.

And sure enough, when the Dean of Students spotted Guo Ming, he immediately waved him over.

Then he said something that shocked both men to their core.

“Jiang Ning from your class is fighting someone at the school gate!”

    At the sports field.

The sports meet was nearing its end, and many students had started wandering around the track.

But that only applied to the first and second years.

Most of the senior students in the graduating class had already begun heading back to their classrooms.

Even though the end of the sports meet meant school was over for the day, for some of the more studious students, squeezing in a few extra problems was always worthwhile.

Li Mingwei was one of them.

But he hadn’t gone back to class.

Instead, he sat at the very top of the bleachers, holding an English textbook and quietly reciting vocabulary words.

Beside him, Yao Yao sat like a gentle lady, half-seated on the ground.

She held a book in her hands and leaned back into the sunlight, a faint smile on her face.

She seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the moment.

But her peace didn’t last long.

It was soon broken by a figure rushing toward them.

    “Mingwei!”

    “Something’s wrong!”

“Jiang Ning is fighting someone again!”

    Fighting!?

Li Mingwei immediately jumped to his feet.

    “Where!?”

    “At the school gate!”

    “Let’s go!”

When Li Mingwei and Hu Gugu ran up to the school gates,

they arrived just in time to see the Principal, the Dean of Students, and several other staff members arriving as well.

One by one, they all stood at the entrance,

waiting for the gates to open.

    And then,

when the school gates finally swung open,

    the scene that greeted them

    left everyone completely stunned.

    ——————

    Ten minutes earlier…

    There was no denying it—

Wang Jianguo’s combat prowess was on a whole other level.

Even though the man she was facing unleashed blow after blow with fierce momentum,

    in front of Wang Jianguo,

it was as if all that strength couldn’t find its mark.

With subtle footwork and agile movements, she dodged nearly every attack the man threw at her.

The few punches that did land only struck Wang Jianguo’s arms.

Still, the man was undeniably strong.

His raw power clearly surpassed Wang Jianguo’s.

Just those few hits were enough to make Secretary Wang furrow her brows in pain.

    “Boss!”

    “This guy’s a bit tricky!”

Hearing the underlying meaning in Wang Jianguo’s words,

Miss Jiang glanced over at Luo Chengming, who was approaching from not far away, along with a few young men.

Her voice dropped into a serious tone.

“Beat him, and I’ll add two hundred to your end-of-month bonus.”

    “You got it!”

    With that one sentence,

Wang Jianguo immediately switched up her fighting style.

From evasive footwork, she shifted to close-quarters grappling.

Like a snake, She coiled around the man, making it impossible for him to move freely or use his strength.

In just a few seconds, the man’s expression grew increasingly grim.

Even his tailored suit began to twist and wrinkle from the strain.

Finally, in a moment of carelessness,

Wang Jianguo managed to grab the man’s arm, twist it behind his back, and press him down sideways.

The man dropped to one knee.

But even getting to that point had clearly taken everything Wang Jianguo had.

    “Boss!”

    “Will this do?”

    At that,

Miss Jiang turned to glance at Sun Qian, whose eyes were red with tears, clutching her hand in pain.

    She took a deep breath.

    “Not enough.”

    Hearing this,

    Luo Chengming’s face darkened.

“That’s enough, Jiang Ning. I admit defeat this time.”

“Let him go, and we’ll let the matter drop.”

“Let it drop?” Jiang Ning let out a cold laugh.

She pointed at the rose heart-shaped funeral wreath not far away, then at the ribbons scattered on the ground.

Finally, she aimed her finger at the few young men standing beside Luo Chengming.

    “These little stunts of yours,

if you’d pulled them on some ordinary girl, would you have already gotten what you wanted?”

“Or are you saying that if my friend hadn’t been there, Qi Wen would’ve been forced to accept your so-called affection?”

By the time she said this,

Jiang Ning’s eyes were already blazing with fury.

    “Our Brother Luo just likes—”

    “Likes?”

Jiang Ning turned her gaze to one of the young men beside Luo Chengming.

“I like your mom. Want to send her over too?”

The words were crude, and even some of the onlookers nearby instinctively frowned.

But, given the situation, especially coming from such a stunningly beautiful girl, more than a few people actually found it oddly satisfying.

“Then what do you want to do?”

Luo Chengming was starting to realize things were slipping out of his control.

His tone unconsciously shifted into something more conciliatory.

At that, Miss Jiang suddenly smiled.

It was a dazzling smile, full of charm and allure.

    Then,

    this graceful, captivating woman

walked over to the security office.

She picked up a wooden stick from the ground

    and approached the man.

    “I said it before.

I’m going to break his hand!”

    With that,

she raised the stick high above her head.

Right in front of the Principal, the Homeroom Teacher, the Dean of Students, and the others,

she swung it down with all her strength!

    The result—

    With a loud crack!

The wooden stick shattered into splinters…
