Stealing ML’s White Moonlight C103
by MarineTLChapter 103 (Extras)
Four-year-old sisters Shen Ange and You Yage were led out of the kindergarten hand-in-hand by their teacher. They were the most beautiful children in the whole school, with large, almond-shaped peach blossom eyes and long eyelashes that fluttered like butterflies among the flowers. Their cheeks were round and chubby, and when they spoke, their faces puffed up adorably. The teachers and classmates all adored them.
Shen Ange was the quieter of the two, obediently holding the teacher’s hand without any extra movement. Unlike her sister You Yage, who bounced around energetically, humming a song they’d learned that day with her little red mouth.
But when the two little girls spotted their mother waiting not far from the school gate, they both lit up with matching smiles and broke free from the teacher’s hands, running toward her with excitement.
“Mommy! Mommy!”
The two little angels clung to Shen Lihuan’s thighs. Shen Lihuan bent down with a smile to hug them. Shen Ange and You Yage kissed one cheek each with perfect coordination.
“Mommy, we missed you so much.”
“Mommy missed you too.”
Shen Lihuan instinctively softened her voice, and the sharpness in her features faded away. In front of her wife and children, she was just a gentle mother and wife—not the awe-inspiring medical powerhouse the world saw her as.
She had recently been busy attending a global medical summit. The seminar had just successfully concluded today, and she had rushed over to pick up her children.
“Mommy, how long can you stay home this time? I really want to sleep with Mommy and Mami,” You Yage said, clinging affectionately as always whenever she saw Shen Lihuan. Shen Ange looked up at her with hopeful eyes too.
Warmth flooded Shen Lihuan’s heart. She readily agreed,
“Alright, tonight the four of us will sleep together.”
Shen Ange and You Yage jumped up with joy.
“Yay! That’s amazing!”
Shen Lihuan stood up and looked at their smiling faces, feeling like everything was worth it.
The kindergarten teacher, who naturally recognized Shen Lihuan, was reassured upon seeing her and handed the children over without hesitation. Shen Lihuan exchanged a few polite words before taking her daughters back to their car.
You Changqing was sitting in the passenger seat, watching them approach. Shen Lihuan leaned in through the open window and kissed her. You Changqing gave her a playful side-eye, her red lips curled into a smile.
Shen Lihuan walked around to her side to help the girls into the car and buckled their seatbelts. Shen Ange and You Yage were already used to their moms’ affectionate displays. When they saw Mommy kiss Mami, they widened their eyes and stared. Shen Lihuan chuckled and ruffled their little heads. They giggled and ducked away.
After securely closing the back door, Shen Lihuan circled around and got into the driver’s seat.
“Buckle up, Mommy’s driving now.”
“All buckled! Mommy, let’s go!”
The little angels responded in perfect unison—they were twins, after all, and often spoke and moved in sync.
“Alright, let’s go.”
Shen Lihuan turned the wheel and headed toward home. Several black cars followed behind hers—those were her bodyguards.
“Changhong and Ye Muyan are coming over tonight. It’s going to be noisy as soon as they arrive.” You Changqing glanced at her phone and chuckled helplessly.
“Changhong is almost thirty now, and he already has two kids, yet he’s still just as childish as ever.”
“That just means he married the right person. Ye Muyan pampers him. He’s never been wronged.”
Shen Lihuan actually liked Changhong’s lively personality. He was cheerful and unrestrained, which balanced out both her and Changqing’s more reserved temperaments.
“That’s true. Sometimes I think Changhong is a bit unreasonable, but Ye Muyan always spoils him and never shows the slightest impatience.”
Seeing her younger brother so happy in his marriage, You Changqing naturally felt happy for him too.
Of course, if Ye Muyan didn’t spoil him like that, she probably wouldn’t be saying all this.
“Are you saying I don’t spoil you?”
A red light stopped them, and Shen Lihuan smoothly brought the car to a halt, turning to look at You Changqing.
You Changqing knew her jealous streak had kicked in again, so she cupped Shen Lihuan’s face and showered it with kisses.
“You’re the most indulgent of all. Even Ye Muyan can’t compare.”
Only then was Shen Lihuan satisfied. She wrapped an arm around her and kissed her back. The two little angels in the backseat gasped and quickly covered their little faces, peeking through their fingers to watch Mommy and Mami kiss.
When the light turned green, Shen Lihuan finally let go of You Changqing and stepped on the gas. You Changqing wiped the sheen from the corner of her lips and blushed when she saw her daughters staring at her with grins. She pinched Shen Lihuan’s leg lightly.
Shen Lihuan didn’t feel a thing—she just grinned mischievously.
On their way home, the family of four had no idea that they’d just made the top of the trending searches.
#BigShot Shen picks up her daughters from school with a glowing smile#
“Ah! I’m crying tears of longing! Where did Big Shot Shen pick up her kids? I want to randomly run into her too…”
“It’s better if you all don’t know. If you swarm her, it’ll cause a traffic jam for sure.”
“Fans really shouldn’t get too close to Big Shot Shen, or it’ll interfere with her daily life.”
“Am I the only one who just got internet access? Who’s this ‘Big Shot Shen’ everyone’s talking about? Some new celeb from the entertainment industry?”
“Is the person upstairs from a cave? How could you not know who Big Shot Shen is?”
“Don’t compare entertainment industry celebs to Big Shot Shen. They’re not even worthy.”
“So, are you guys going to tell me who she actually is?”
“Brothers and sisters, let’s spill the details about Big Shot Shen so the upstairs person can open their eyes.”
“Big Shot Shen’s full name is Shen Lihuan. She’s from the Shen family of the Imperial Capital. Yes, that Shen family. She majored in clinical medicine at university, and during her master’s studies, she successfully developed an antidote vaccine that saved countless families.”
“After that, she spent five years developing a cure for AIDS. Over sixty million AIDS patients around the world were saved thanks to her.”
“Rumor has it she’s currently researching a cancer vaccine. If it succeeds, people who receive the vaccine will have a drastically lower chance of developing cancer—maybe even no risk at all. We might truly enter a new era without cancer!”
“Really?! Oh my god, I’m going to cry. My grandma passed away from pancreatic cancer—only three months from diagnosis to death. Cancer is truly terrifying!”
“I believe in Big Boss Shen. She can definitely do it!”
“Yes, yes, yes, we just need to wait. I trust that Big Boss Shen won’t let us down!”
What began as an informative science discussion quickly shifted in tone, turning into a nationwide wave of hope and anticipation, as everyone waited for that one piece of great news.
Shen Lihuan wasn’t one to scroll through social media much, so she had no idea about the online chatter. Just as she got home, You Changhong’s two sons dashed toward her, shouting, “Auntie! Auntie!”
The boys were six this year, two years older than Ange and Yage.
Although Shen Lihuan was two years older than You Changhong, she had children later. You Changhong had applied for childbearing in the second year of his marriage with Ye Muyan, so Ange and Yage were the youngest kids in the family.
The twin boys were just like Ange and Yage—twins themselves—and also Shen Lihuan’s most devoted little fans. Every time they saw her, they clung to her like glue.
When Yage saw the two older brothers sticking to her mom, her little red mouth pouted. Ange held her hand and coaxed her in a soft baby voice, “Don’t be sad, Yage. We’re sleeping with Mommy tonight. The boys don’t get to do that.”
Yage’s eyes spun around like little marbles, and she quickly broke into a smile.
Seeing her sister happy again, Ange held her hand and led her over to Grandpa and Grandma. Gu Qinglan and Shen Jiashu each scooped one of them up for kisses. When the girls were home, it didn’t feel like much, but as soon as they went to kindergarten, the grandparents found the house unbearably quiet. They’d missed the little ones like crazy all day.
Shen Lihuan walked over to the sofa holding her two nephews’ hands and greeted the elders. “Mom, Dad, Uncle, Auntie—we’re home.”
Gu Qinglan and the others nodded with warm smiles. “Good, good. You’re back.”
You Changhong playfully pinched his sons’ cheeks. “You two little traitors, saw your aunt and forgot all about your dad, huh?”
Ye Muyan chuckled at his jealous husband and greeted Shen Lihuan and You Changqing, “You two busy bees are finally back. Huaixin and Huaijin have been talking about you non-stop. Poor Changhong’s been driven up the wall.”
You Changhong and Ye Muyan’s sons followed a naming tradition—like Ange and Yage, the older one took Ye Muyan’s surname and was called Ye Huaixin. The younger followed You Changhong’s surname and was named You Huaijin.
You Changhong gave a huff. Ye Huaixin, whose face had just been pinched, showed no respect to his father, chirping with his sharp little voice, “Daddy’s huffing like a piggy.”
You Changqing burst out laughing. You Huaijin covered his mouth, snickering too. You Changhong, fuming, began squishing his son’s face back and forth. He only stopped when Ye Huaixin begged for mercy. “That’ll teach you to call your daddy a pig.”
Ye Huaixin pouted, daring not to protest, and dove into his aunt’s arms for comfort. Shen Lihuan stroked his head, and just like that, the little guy was full of energy again.
Youyou, Guoguo, and Juanjuan were still at martial arts class and hadn’t come home yet. If they’d seen how gently their big sister treated Huaixin, they’d definitely explode with jealousy. All the kids in this family seemed to be majorly possessive.
At dinnertime, Youyou, Guoguo, and Juanjuan came home right on time. When they heard their big sister was back, their eyes lit up instantly. They circled around Shen Lihuan like a pack of puppies. As for Ange, Yage, Huaixin, and Huaijin? Hmph! Uncle Youyou, Auntie Guoguo, and Uncle Juanjuan were all big meanies!
That night, after coaxing the two little angels to sleep, Shen Lihuan carried them to the innermost side of the bed, laid herself on the outer side, and her beloved wife slept in the middle.
“Wife, do you think we should have more kids in the future?”
You Changqing’s fingers were drawing lazy circles on Shen Lihuan’s chest. Shen Lihuan caught her hand. “You still want more?”
“No, I think Ange and Yage are enough. I don’t want other kids competing for our attention.”
It was something You Changqing had thought about for a long time. In the end, she decided two children were just right. With more, they wouldn’t be able to care for them all properly.
“I’ll go with whatever you want.”
Shen Lihuan kissed the smooth skin at her neck. You Changqing instantly felt the heat rising in her body. She wrapped her arms around Shen Lihuan’s waist, fingers lightly stroking her back. “Lihuan~”
“Do you want it?”
Shen Lihuan knew every nuance of her wife’s reactions. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at her.
“…Yes~”
You Changqing answered honestly. Shen Lihuan glanced back at their two sleeping angels, then picked up her wife and carried her into the bathroom.
“I’ve been wanting to do this for a while.”
Bathroom play—you deserve it.
