Chapter 94: Chest Slave, How Do You Want to Die

The cold wind howled. The fierce gusts sliced through the air like blades, making the branches of the trees outside tremble.

Jiang Ning was wrapped tightly in her blanket.

She stared out the window in a daze, her gaze passing through the glass.

It was currently 10:12 in the morning.

The temperature outside was around minus 3°C.

Normally at this time, Jiang Ning would have already gotten up, washed up, had breakfast, and gone to help out at one of the two shops.

Or she’d be rushing over to Teacher Du Xinrui’s home for piano practice.

But today, Miss Jiang had absolutely no desire to move.

She wasn’t sick—just had a bad case of laziness.

She only wanted to stay curled up in her warm blanket.

    Well, there was another reason.

She had already agreed to go out this afternoon for a meetup.

Yep, a junior high class reunion…

Just thinking about that first reunion after her rebirth made Jiang Ning instinctively reject the idea.

But she had already promised Li Duoyong and the others. There was no backing out now.

    Thankfully—

That girl Luo Shanshan was going too.

At least she wouldn’t be bored.

And there was also Gao Jingyi with those long legs…

After dawdling for a while longer—

Jiang Ning finally left the warm embrace of her blanket.

She quickly threw on a thick cotton coat,

jumped into her padded shoes, and walked out of her room.

The house was quiet. Her mom had long since gone out in the name of love.

Jiang Ning knew her mom had recently been busy looking into the whereabouts of her ex-boyfriend.

She had even gone to visit him two or three times.

Jiang Ning saw it all but didn’t say a word.

She just felt a bit speechless.

Who knew her mom had such a hopeless romantic side?

    Seriously, what the hell…

Then she went to the bathroom to wash up.

    While brushing her teeth—

She glanced at her delicate eyes and refined features in the mirror. She subconsciously brushed the hair away from her brow.

For some reason, Jiang Ning felt like she looked a little prettier today.

But she couldn’t quite pinpoint what had changed.

    Was it her eyes?

She pressed her face closer to the glass, staring at her amber-colored eyes from every angle. But no obvious change.

    And then—

From the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse in the mirror of her coat’s collar.

That deep, alluring cleavage—it drew even her own gaze.

Jiang Ning couldn’t help tugging her collar open a bit more.

She looked down for a moment.

    Then—

For reasons unknown, she held up three fingers and reached into her collar.

    “Hiss—!!”

The instant her cold fingers touched her skin, Jiang Ning shivered.

    Hiss, so cold…

    Cough, so tight…

    Just then—

The phone in the living room rang.

Startled, Jiang Ning quickly pulled her hand out, rinsed the toothpaste from her mouth, and ran out to answer the phone.

    “Hello? Who is this?”

“Jiangjiang, I’m downstairs. Which floor is your place again?”

    Which floor?

    Downstairs?

    Shanshan?

    Two minutes later—

Still wrapped in her cotton coat, Jiang Ning opened the front door.

A cream-colored teddy bear jumped in from outside.

    “Hehe!”

“Jiangjiang! Haven’t seen you in days—did you miss me?!”

“Miss your ass. Shut the door already!” Jiang Ning blocked Luo Shanshan’s attempt at a bear hug, grumbling:

    “Hurry up, it’s freezing!”

“Okaaay…” Luo Shanshan pouted as she reluctantly closed the door.

Then, like a country girl visiting the city for the first time, she curiously explored Jiang Ning’s home.

“Jiangjiang, your living room is huge…”

    “It’s okay…”

    “Whoa, mahogany furniture!”

    “Fake…”

    “Ew, is this your underwear—”

Before Luo Shanshan could pick up the white eye mask, Jiang Ning snatched it and hid it behind her.

    “What the hell!?”

    “Hehe, they’re pretty big though…”

Luo Shanshan grinned mischievously, looking like a lewd little pervert.

Usually, it was Jiang Ning teasing others. When did the tables turn?

    With a snort—

Jiang Ning transformed into a martial arts master.

A swift Tianshan Plum-Blossom Move grabbed Luo Shanshan’s pressure point. A follow-up Shaolin Dragon Claw subdued her.

Then, a flurry of Six Meridian Divine Swords—

Luo Shanshan cried for mercy under the relentless strikes.

But Jiang the Great Hero had too kind a heart.

Her moment of mercy gave Luo Shanshan the chance to counter with a surprise Heart-Piercing Palm—

    Nearly knocking Jiang Ning breathless.

    And so—

The two went back and forth in their chaotic scuffle for a good while.

    Eventually—

Luo Shanshan attempted a Monkey Steals the Peach.

But due to Jiang Ning lacking said “peach,” the move failed.

She was pinned to the sofa, unable to fight back.

    In the end—

Only after signing a “sell-yourself-into-slavery” contract was Luo Shanshan released by the righteous light.

“Chest slave, bring me those pants~”

“Chest slave, and that pair of socks~”

“Wait—what’s with that disgusted look in your eyes?!”

    And so—

After another round of chaotic fooling around,

the two finally headed out around 11:30.

“Jiangjiang, what are we eating for lunch?”

“What time are we meeting again?”

“One thirty. Happy Times KTV, private room 305…”

    “Let’s have liangpi* for lunch.”

    (*cold-skinned noodles)

    “Okay!”

After a round of mismatched conversation,

the two of them braved the cold wind and rode out.

Compared to ten-plus years in the future, the streets of Jiangzhou hadn’t changed too much.

But the alleys and old neighborhoods were a different story.

Unlike the modular commercial streets of the future, these were truly old-school.

Aged doorways, half-shattered millstones, moldy wall bases, and an old shop called Old Chen’s Liangpi.

    If Jiang Ning remembered correctly—

This place would be taken over by Old Chen’s son in four years.

    Renamed Little Chen’s Liangpi.

Then after a series of ridiculous business decisions—

Little Chen’s Liangpi would be bought out by capital and turned into a bubble tea shop called Haicheng Housewives.

But that’s a story for another time.

Right now, the owner of the cold noodle shop is still the same cheerful bald old man.

A tattered sheet of plastic serves as the door curtain.

When you push it open, it still makes that clang clang sound.

“You two~ what would you like?”

“One bowl of beef cold noodles, one with pork tenderloin.”

“Four bucks~” The old man spoke with flair, especially the final rhotic tone—it sounded just like a performance from the olden days.

Jiang Ning smiled and pulled four coins from her pocket, placing them on the table.

“Boss, give us some extra meat!”

    “You got it~”

    A short while later.

When the two bowls of cold noodles were brought over, there really was a lot more meat. At least in Miss Jiang’s memory, she’d never had cold noodles with this much meat before.

    Tsk tsk.

Looks like having a pretty face does come in handy sometimes.

    Just then—

Seeing that the shop wasn’t too busy, the old man grabbed a stool, sat at a nearby table, and looked over with curiosity.

“You two girls from around here?”

“Sure are!” Luo Shanshan replied, cheeks puffed out as she slurped up a mouthful of cold noodles.

    “How old are you?”

Surprised by the question, Jiang Ning asked back:

“What’s up, Uncle? Trying to set us up with someone?”

    At that—

The old man shook his head.

“No need for you, you’re too pretty.”

    “Then what?”

Miss Jiang looked at him, puzzled. But the old man turned his gaze toward Luo Shanshan.

“Girl, my son’s 22 this year, just graduated from Ningzhou University. Wanna meet him~?”

    Pfft!!

Luo Shanshan couldn’t hold it in and accidentally sprayed a noodle out of her mouth.

    Right onto someone’s face.

    Immediately—

Miss Jiang, with a blank expression, calmly picked the noodle off her face and said in an eerily calm voice:

“Speak, you breast-loving freak—how do you want to die?”
