Chapter 36: The Delivery Team is Successfully Established

Within a 2-kilometer radius, the delivery service fee is 2 yuan per order.

For distances between 3 to 5 kilometers, it’s 3 yuan per order.

Orders beyond 5 kilometers are not accepted.

Each delivery worker receives half of the commission per order. If they complete 200 orders in a month, they receive an additional 200 yuan as an incentive bonus.

The base salary of 800 yuan is separate from this.

When Jiang Ning sent this additional reward plan via text message to Tian Wenhao—

Not even two minutes later, her phone started ringing.

Startled, Jiang Ning quickly stuffed her phone under her blanket because her mother was still in her room.

“Ningning, did you hear what I just said?”

“You’re in your first year of high school now. Stay home and study instead of running around all the time.”

“If your grades drop in this month’s exam, don’t blame me for enrolling you in a tutoring class!”

“Oh, oh, I got it,” Jiang Ning replied impatiently, just wanting her mother to leave, as her phone was still vibrating.

    Moments later—

Once her mother finally left, Jiang Ning took out her phone and glanced at the screen.

Sure enough, it was Tian Wenhao calling.

After thinking for a moment, she decided to tweak her explanation for the high-reward delivery plan before sending it back.

A while later, she received Tian Wenhao’s reply—just three words: “I trust you.”

To be honest, even Jiang Ning initially felt that the pay she was offering was quite generous.

But then she thought—if she didn’t offer a competitive salary, what if these guys learned the ropes and got poached or started their own business?

Especially in the early stages of a startup, every talent and resource is extremely valuable.

Besides, setting good pay had another major advantage—

Not only could it motivate existing workers, but it could also attract more people to join.

After all, she wasn’t at the level where her name alone could draw people in yet.

She still had to rely on good incentives.

    And sure enough—

The next day, when Tian Wenhao announced the salary package, the faces of Xia Ling and the other three girls lit up with excitement.

They were well aware of the store’s daily order volume.

Currently, the shop received only around 30 to 40 orders per day, with about a dozen of them being delivery orders.

Most of these came from the school.

Even so, with an average of 2 yuan per delivery, they could split about 10 orders per day.

That meant they could earn about 600 yuan per month just from commissions.

Add in the base salary of 800 yuan—

Each of them could make around 1,400 yuan per month.

And if order volumes increased in the future, wouldn’t their earnings easily surpass 2,000 yuan?

Xia Ling couldn’t help but get excited.

Originally, she had just wanted a part-time job to kill time.

But now, this gig was offering a monthly income comparable to her parents’.

    If they found out…

The more she thought about it, the more thrilled she became, her face flushing red.

But at that moment, one of the other girls raised a concern.

“I’m a student from out of town. What if I don’t have a bike?”

“We’ll provide one,” Tian Wenhao answered.

“Do we get any days off? I mean, we’re students too, and we have classes.”

“You can work whenever you’re free, but you need to be at the store for at least six hours a day,” Tian Wenhao replied.

After that, the girl fell silent—she had asked everything she wanted to.

Then, Xia Ling suddenly remembered something and asked, puzzled:

“Why are we girls only allowed to handle school orders, while the boys can do outside deliveries?”

“For safety reasons,” Jiang Ning’s voice suddenly chimed in.

Everyone turned to see the pretty girl pushing a yellow bicycle toward them.

“Cousin, what do you think of this bike? Good enough for deliveries?”

It was clearly a work vehicle, and the girls’ eyes were immediately drawn to it.

It had a neutral design with sleek modern lines, and a large box was strapped to the back seat.

On the box, four bold black characters stood out: “Ning’s Express Delivery.”

    It was impossible to miss.

And just like that, the bikes, the people, and the system were all finalized in less than a day.

With that, the delivery team officially began operations.

At first, the four members had some disputes over order assignments.

In the end, Jiang Ning settled the issue by implementing a rotation system—whoever’s turn it was took the order, regardless of distance.

Unless they had a valid reason to swap, the rule had to be followed.

    Sure enough—

Once this system was in place, the four-person delivery team no longer quarreled over orders.

Before they knew it, the National Day holiday had reached its seventh day.

Jiang Ning had been so busy that she almost forgot about the outdoor cooking trip she had planned with Luo Shanshan and the others.

If Qi Wen hadn’t called her the night before to remind her, she probably would have gone straight to the shop again.

Still, all the hard work had paid off.

At the very least, her bank account balance had now crossed six figures.

That surprise alone made her fall asleep with a huge grin.

    Early Morning.

Jiang Ning threw on a long-sleeved sweatshirt and a pair of black cargo pants. She didn’t even bother tying her hair before heading out.

By the time she arrived at the meetup spot on her bike—

Luo Shanshan and Zhu Hui were already there.

Beside them stood three familiar faces, busy loading bags onto a cart.

Wang Zekai, Li Duoyong, and another middle school classmate—Chen Yang, if she remembered correctly.

Seeing this, Jiang Ning frowned and pulled Luo Shanshan aside to whisper:

    “Why did you invite them?”

    Luo Shanshan looked shocked.

    “To help carry stuff, obviously!”

“Unless you, Miss Pampered Princess, planned to haul all these bags yourself?”

    Uh… fair point.

Jiang Ning glanced up and gave her former classmates a quick nod in greeting.

    But for some reason—

Watching them work so busily reminded her of her past life.

Back then, whenever she went on outdoor trips with a group of girls, she was always the one doing the heavy lifting.

    She got it now.

    Mystery solved.

    They were the tools.

    Just then—

A gentle voice greeted them from behind.

    Jiang Ning turned around—

    Her eyes immediately brightened.

A sweet-looking girl approached, dressed in a white knitted sweater layered over a checkered collared shirt. She wore a black long skirt and had a small bamboo basket slung over her shoulder. A delicate white leaf hair accessory adorned her head.

As she got closer, Jiang Ning suddenly exclaimed—

“Wow! Who is this stunning beauty?!”

Flustered by the teasing, Qi Wen’s face turned red.

“Ugh! So annoying! I’m ignoring you!”

Luo Shanshan also couldn’t help but chime in—

“Seriously, Wenwen, you look amazing in this outfit.”

“Especially your legs… Ugh, I’m so jealous!”

“Yeah, yeah,” Zhu Hui, who wasn’t good with words, nodded in agreement.

    But at that moment—

    Qi Wen suddenly grinned mischievously.

“You know,” she said, “Jiang Ning actually has the best legs I’ve ever seen.”

    Jiang Ning: “???”
