Transmigrated Bigshots C207
by MarineTLChapter 207: A Child Prodigy!
They started off with high intensity on the very first day, and the result was that Juanjuan didn’t even make it to dinner before collapsing onto the bed.
When Little Boss Bai came home after a long day out, carrying snacks he’d bought for his little girl, he was all smiles. But to his surprise, she wasn’t waiting at the door like she usually did.
Bai Tian: Huh?
Maybe she’s inside?
Still cheerful, Little Boss Bai bounced into the courtyard and called out with energy in his voice, “Juan~”
But before he could even finish saying her name, he was met with warning looks from his eldest and third sons.
Bai Tian: What’s going on? And wait a minute, I’m the dad here, aren’t I?
Bai Yunqi raised a hand and pointed toward the room. “Your daughter’s asleep. She didn’t eat, didn’t wash her face, didn’t change her clothes.”
Bai Tian: Why does it sound like, from the way he’s saying it, my soft and sweet little girl is some kind of slob?
Bai Yun’an smiled. “Dad, she was exhausted.”
Bai Tian: Ah, now that’s more like it.
He went into the room and tried calling Juanjuan a few times. When she didn’t wake up, he gently wiped her face and feet so she’d sleep more comfortably.
After dinner, Jiang Dai and Bai Tian didn’t last long before heading to bed themselves.
They were just too tired. Running around making connections, checking out shops, haggling prices, and trying to figure out how to pay off their debts—it was all draining.
So, in the quiet of the night, the three Bai brothers, each with their own impressive skills, gathered once again on the rooftop.
The rooftop was great! What a perfect place to be!
“Bai Yunxing, what’ve you been so busy with these past few days?”
Bai Yunqi couldn’t sit still. After lying on the rooftop for a bit, he suddenly sat up, snatched a sweet grass stick from beside Bai Yunxing, stuck it in his mouth, and asked curiously.
After all, Bai Yunxing had also been out all day recently, barely showing up at home.
Bai Yunxing glanced at his eldest brother and answered honestly, “Tying up some loose ends from Jingcheng.”
“Oh.”
Bai Yunqi nodded and didn’t press further. Instead, he turned to look at their relaxed third brother.
“What about you? What’ve you been up to lately?”
Bai Yun’an had one leg crossed over the other, arms behind his head, eyes still closed. “Just messing around. Haven’t I been home all day?”
What a joke. What could he possibly be busy with?
He used to be busy strategizing, but now he’d gone full slacker mode—eating, drinking, and enjoying life however he pleased.
Besides, if he really were up to something, could he even say it out loud?
Of course not.
Even just sneaking things into their parents’ shop without getting caught took a certain level of skill.
…
Morning, during breakfast.
Jiang Dai watched Juanjuan scarfing down her food, eager to finish so she could go back to learning with the two girls from the Mu family.
Then she glanced at her three sons, who were eating slowly and lounging around the house.
【Is Juanjuan too hardworking, or do these three just seem too idle? They’re still young—shouldn’t they be going to school or something?】
Juanjuan, mid-bite: Huh?
The brothers are going to school too? But they’re already so amazing! They still need to study?
“You three… shouldn’t you be going to school or something?”
Jiang Dai just voiced the thought as it came to her.
Bai Yunqi tried to dodge it. “Mom, I don’t need to, right?”
Bai Tian added fuel to the fire. “You can’t read.”
Bai Yunxing, on the other hand, agreed without hesitation. He didn’t mention that he was already literate and skilled in martial arts—he just accepted it quietly.
“Bai Yunxing! Come on, spare the kids in Jingcheng, will you?”
“You’re so smart. If you go to school, you’ll be a child prodigy! You’ll just be there to crush everyone!”
Bai Yunqi’s focus was, as always, a little off. He really just didn’t want Bai Yunxing to look too obedient.
That way, Bai Yunqi’s own rebelliousness and laziness would stand out more. He didn’t like studying at all.
Jiang Dai and Bai Tian, however, exchanged a glance. Their expressions turned a little strange, as if their thoughts had synced up and they were both thinking of the same thing.
