by MarineTLChapter 95: Don’t Even Think of Escaping, My Fiery Wife (Part 3)
Peeking at Qin Yan’s deep expression through Chu Yue’s hair, Yu Liuxue shivered, a bad premonition suddenly rising in her heart. She instinctively felt that her life was about to be in danger. Because of her sudden shiver, Chu Yue was immediately pulled back to reality. She turned her head and slowly looked at Wen Sui, slightly raising an eyebrow.
And when Wen Sui clearly saw that it was Chu Yue, his expression instantly became somewhat subtle and complex.
Qin Yan stood beside Wen Sui, but Chu Yue didn’t even glance at her. Qin Yan slightly pursed her lips, her expression returning to normal. Chu Yue stuffed the trembling Yu Liuxue into the car. Under intense life threat, Yu Liuxue dared not move. She sat obediently in the car, deliberately lowering her head.
Even with her head down, she could still feel the sharp, knife-like gaze from not far away.
Yu Liuxue held her breath, not daring to exhale, turning her face completely red.
Chu Yue saw her face as red as a cooked shrimp. She didn’t think much of it, assuming Yu Liuxue was simply shy, and only then did her expression slightly improve. Qin Yan stood still, watching Chu Yue lean over with a softened expression, first blocking most of Yu Liuxue’s figure, then her beautiful hand grabbed the seatbelt, skillfully buckling it for the blushing, head-down person. After doing this, she seemed to soothingly rub the other’s head, messing up Yu Liuxue’s neatly combed hair like weeds that had just grown on her grave.
Qin Yan didn’t know if she was too angry, but she suddenly curved her lips slightly, letting out a silent, soft laugh.
Before Chu Yue’s car left, Yu Liuxue subtly cast a cautious glance at Qin Yan. As soon as she turned her eyes, she saw the female lead’s smile that didn’t reach her eyes. She felt as if she had been electrocuted, instantly sitting up straight, feigning calmness.
Chu Yue’s car drove further and further away. Wen Sui, with his hands in his pockets, stared at the license plate for a long time, confirming that it was indeed the familiar number.
Qin Yan turned her head, her inner-hooked, outer-lifted eyes smiling like crescent moons filled with starlight. “Wen Sui, let’s go too.”
Wen Sui snapped back to attention, “Okay.”
After leaving Qin Yan’s sight, Yu Liuxue felt relieved but also increasingly regretful. She looked at Chu Yue’s deep, charming profile, yet always felt that Qin Yan seemed even more alluring. If she were to go after Qin Yan, deliberately snatching her man, and then getting entangled with her beloved in ambiguous ways, making her furious, would Qin Yan fiercely pin her against the wall and punish her on the spot…?
Seeing Yu Liuxue’s face getting redder and redder, Chu Yue suddenly braked, her voice tinged with a hint of coldness. “Are you still thinking about Wen Sui?”
That little brat.
Yu Liuxue snapped back to attention. She lightly glanced at Chu Yue, snorted, and then very unhappily ignored her.
Her attitude clearly implied consent. Chu Yue, who thought she had guessed Yu Liuxue’s thoughts, darkened her face. She was already her woman, yet she still dared to harbor thoughts of other men. In a fit of anger, Chu Yue drove the car straight home. After dismissing the butler, Chu Yue pulled Yu Liuxue inside, forcefully throwing her face-down onto the bed in the room.
Yu Liuxue was about to start cursing, but suddenly, her ears twitched, and she heard Chu Yue lock the door.
The other person strode towards her. In broad daylight, Chu Yue, without explanation, pressed Yu Liuxue onto the bed, gripping her waist and fiercely teaching her a lesson. Yu Liuxue’s soul ascended to heaven. After reaching the state of perfect unity with nature, she realized that Chu Yue was about to quit. She blinked, deliberately closed her legs, her eyes red, stubbornly biting her lip, “Chu Yue, even if you get my body, you won’t get my heart.”
“My heart will always belong only to Brother Wen Sui…”
Upon hearing the name Wen Sui, Chu Yue immediately flared up. At this moment, she was more formidable than usual. Yu Liuxue arched her back, wanting to kick Chu Yue away. Chu Yue, having foresight, pressed her leg against Yu Liuxue’s and restrained her restless hands with one hand. When she had bullied Yu Liuxue into cooperatively tilting her head back, she deliberately paused, “Now what?”
Yu Liuxue was utterly satisfied. However, she still feigned a look of indignation, snorting and turning her head in another direction, refusing to answer Chu Yue no matter how much she asked.
Chu Yue simply flipped her over and continued to work hard. Yu Liuxue: “…?!”
Yu Liuxue was barely breathing, clutching the corner of the quilt, too lazy to even open her eyes. Chu Yue glanced at the messy bedsheets, gradually sobering up. She had originally intended to reason with Jiang Zhi properly, so why did it end up like this again?
She turned her head to look at Yu Liuxue, who had been tormented by her, and fell into silence for a moment.
Could it be that for many years, there had been some perverted thoughts hidden deep within her heart that she herself had never discovered? She stared at Yu Liuxue, who was gradually falling asleep, always feeling as if the other person had gotten the better deal and was still acting innocent.
When Yu Liuxue woke up, Chu Yue was not beside her. She picked up the clothes scattered at the foot of the bed, quickly put them on, and ran out without thinking. Chu Yue had only gone to make a cup of coffee, which took only a few minutes. But when she returned to the room, the bed was still warm, the quilt was still warm, but the person was gone.
She strode to the window and happened to see Yu Liuxue furtively getting into a taxi.
Chu Yue immediately lost the mood to drink coffee. She coldly watched Yu Liuxue drive away, unconsciously breaking the spoon in her hand in half.
Heh, let’s see where you can run.
Yu Liuxue rested well at home for a few days. Once she felt a little better, she bounced back to school. However, she was out of luck today. As soon as she arrived at the entrance, she ran into Qin Yan and Wen Sui. Yu Liuxue subconsciously looked at Wen Sui, only to find that Wen Sui quickly avoided her gaze, looking at Qin Yan as if no one else was there, his gaze gentle and doting, as always.
Yu Liuxue didn’t know how the plot should continue for a moment. Wen Sui could be described as a model boyfriend; he never had excessive contact with any women other than his girlfriend. He always kept his distance from the opposite sex, making people stop in their tracks.
For a straight man, especially a good-looking one, to achieve this was as difficult as finding a sesame seed in black rice.
Yu Liuxue sighed softly. Wen Sui was so wary of her that if she still shamelessly clung to him, she would truly be a “green tea” sister. She immediately abandoned this idea, planning to find an alternative path to complete her mission. She looked up at Qin Yan, who smiled faintly. Beyond the suppressed emotions, her demeanor was graceful and generous. “Wen Sui told me that you, little one, found this exam very difficult? If you don’t mind, I can tutor you this weekend.”
Wen Sui said that? Yu Liuxue glanced at Wen Sui; he wasn’t the type to say such things.
So, the female lead’s cunning lies here. This sentence not only showed her intimate, unreserved relationship with Wen Sui but also made her appear especially gentle, considerate, and eager to help. However, Yu Liuxue felt that Qin Yan’s ultimate goal was probably to get close to her and ascertain her true relationship with Chu Yue.
Yu Liuxue said awkwardly, “How could I impose? You’re already so busy, if I take up your time…”
Qin Yan interrupted her, “It’s fine, we’re so familiar with each other, saying that just makes us seem distant.”
Yu Liuxue: “…”
She couldn’t argue with Qin Yan. Qin Yan decided the matter in a few words, leaving Yu Liuxue no chance to object. She thought about it: since she couldn’t start with the male lead, she would have to approach this female lead who “eats people without spitting out bones.”
She closed her eyes, spread her arms, and faced the storm!
After they parted, the smile in Qin Yan’s eyes slightly faded. She turned back, took the things from Wen Sui’s hand, and said with a smile, “Wen Sui, you can drop me off here.”
Wen Sui nodded, handed her the items, and after reminding her to be careful, watched Qin Yan leave until she disappeared from his sight. He lingered for a long time, leaning against a corner, then suddenly let out a self-deprecating laugh. He was too greedy, unwilling to let go of this hard-won tenderness.
Qin Yan had told him a long, long time ago that there was a girl in her heart, and he hadn’t minded.
But if that person was Jiang Zhi…
Yu Liuxue was unaware of the situation between the male and female leads. She was sitting in the car, calculating, “System, Mom told me not to casually have relations with others before marriage.”
The system sensed trouble at this point. Sure enough, Yu Liuxue continued, “But now I’ve had relations with Chu Yue so many times. You tell me, if I don’t get engaged to her, wouldn’t I be letting down my mother’s earnest advice?”
System: “…Actually, Host, you just want to trick her into marriage, don’t you?”
Yu Liuxue: “???” The old man on the subway looking at his phone.
She angrily put her hands on her hips. “What kind of nonsense are you talking about? I’m unmarried, Chu Yue is unwed, and Chu Yue and I used to be engaged. Isn’t this perfectly reasonable?”
System: “But Host, Jiang Zhi has already broken off her engagement with Chu Yue.”
“Exactly, so now it’s my turn to step in and reclaim this marriage.” Yu Liuxue said righteously. As she spoke, she had already quickly formulated a plan in her mind. Feeling that this impromptu plan was feasible, a smile involuntarily appeared on her face.
…So, essentially, it was just tricking her into marriage.
Yu Liuxue drove, sighing and shaking her head repeatedly. It was all Chu Yue’s fault, that damn perfect player of games, that scumbag.
She waited a few days and finally heard the news that her parents were having dinner with Chu Yue’s parents. Because it was purposeful, this dinner couldn’t be avoided. Yu Liuxue timed it perfectly and called Jiang’s Mother, whining coquettishly, “Mom, where are you? Your precious daughter is hungry.”
Jiang’s Mother hesitated. Chu’s Mother softly asked, “Is that Zhizhi?”
Jiang’s Mother nodded slightly, and Chu’s Mother immediately smiled. “Perfect, we can’t eat all this food anyway. Let her come and eat with us. I haven’t seen Zhizhi in a long time, I don’t know how she’s been doing lately.”
After getting Jiang’s Mother’s reply, Yu Liuxue immediately got out of the car. Even if Chu’s Mother hadn’t agreed, she would have found a way to go. Yu Liuxue carefully adjusted her clothes in the mirror, just enough to reveal a faint hickey on the side of her neck. After confirming it wouldn’t be covered by her clothes, she smiled slightly and walked towards the hotel.
Pushing open the door, both mothers simultaneously saw the mark on Yu Liuxue’s neck. Her own mother’s expression changed slightly but quickly returned to normal. Chu’s Mother was a bit surprised. She used to quite like Jiang Zhi, but then Jiang Zhi insisted on breaking off the engagement with her daughter, and her methods were extremely childish. Now seeing the other party in this state, she couldn’t help but feel relieved that the engagement had been broken off early.
Chu’s Mother smiled and reached out to Yu Liuxue, “It’s Zhizhi! Come here and let Auntie see you.”
Yu Liuxue immediately abandoned her own mother and walked towards her, acting as if she didn’t realize what she had accidentally exposed, sweetly calling out, “Hello, Auntie Chu.”
Chu’s Mother smiled faintly upon hearing this. “Didn’t Zhizhi say she was hungry? The food is still hot, just served. Come and eat quickly.”
Yu Liuxue tore open her bowl and chopsticks, then suddenly heard Chu’s Mother say, “Speaking of which, I really like this child, Zhizhi. It’s just a pity that Chu Yue and Zhizhi were not meant to be…”
Yu Liuxue’s expression suddenly froze. She quickly lowered her head and mumbled a response. Her appearance fell into her own mother’s eyes, and her mother immediately noticed something was off. Jiang’s Mother chuckled, “Did Chu Yue drive to pick you up yesterday?”
“No, Mom, don’t talk nonsense, it was clearly last week…” Yu Liuxue said this, then instantly sobered up, quickly holding back the rest of the sentence. Jiang’s Mother smiled slightly, gently looking at Chu’s Mother. Chu’s Mother never expected her daughter to be so thick-skinned. It was bad enough that she was ridiculed for having her engagement broken off, but after all this time, she still didn’t know how to give up, and instead made the other girl look like this.
After receiving a look from her husband, she also smiled, “I didn’t expect the relationship between the two children to be better now than before. We adults were just worrying for nothing.”
Everyone was smart, and the conversation stopped there, not a single extra word was said. Yu Liuxue had achieved her goal, so she focused on eating her fill. She couldn’t help but look at her mother, thinking, “Your mom is still your mom. These tricks, one after another, are quite impressive at conning people.”
After the dinner, Chu’s Father and Chu’s Mother called Chu Yue downstairs as soon as they got home. Chu’s Mother, holding her phone, slowly asked Chu Yue, “I heard Jiang Zhi has a birthmark on her waist?”
“Does she?” Chu Yue subconsciously replied, “No…”
She suddenly stopped speaking, realizing something was off. Chu’s Mother understood everything upon hearing her answer. She continued to fiddle with her phone, “Jiang Zhi said you’ve been driving to pick her up every day recently.” At this point, Chu’s Mother deliberately paused, inviting speculation.
Chu Yue was full of questions. Jiang Zhi actually said that about her in front of her own mother? Although she knew her mother had ulterior motives, Chu Yue still wanted to clarify, “Not every day. I’ve only picked her up twice.”
Alright, the truth was out. Chu’s Mother sent her husband away and motioned for Chu Yue to sit down. Before Chu Yue had even settled into her seat, she heard her mother say, “You’ve wronged that girl, and now her parents know. No matter what, the Jiang Family is a prominent and respectable family. Whether it was a moment of impulse or a search for excitement, you must take responsibility now.”
Chu Yue subconsciously asked, “How do I take responsibility?”
“It can’t be… marrying her, can it?!”
“Engagement.” Chu’s Mother put down her phone. “Pick a time and get engaged immediately. When the time is right in the future, you’ll get married.”
Chu Yue: “???” I just want to play around in life. Marriage will only shackle my wings that yearn for freedom.
Regardless of Chu Yue’s willingness, her mother had already called the prospective in-laws to discuss the engagement. And feeling that Chu Yue standing there was an eyesore, she mercilessly sent Chu Yue back to her room. Chu Yue sat at her desk, her fingertips idly tapping the surface. No, how did she feel like she had been tricked?
Chu Yue rubbed her temples. It was true that she was interested in Jiang Zhi, but she only wanted to maintain this simple, placid relationship with Jiang Zhi.
Yu Liuxue sat innocently on the sofa, watching her mother make the call. She saw her mother’s smile grow wider and wider, and she couldn’t help but crack a melon seed. This matter must be settled. Although she had never been engaged so early, there was always an exception to everything.
After Jiang’s Mother hung up the phone, she looked at her with a hint of exasperation, “Didn’t you dislike her? Didn’t you cry, make a fuss, and threaten to hang yourself, preferring to die than marry her? How did you end up in bed with her now?”
Yu Liuxue continued to wear an innocent expression, completely absolving herself of responsibility. “No, Mom, Chu Yue seduced me first.”
Jiang’s Mother: “…?” Seriously?
But thinking about it, it made some sense. Chu Yue was indeed a very competitive child. If her daughter dumped her, she would definitely use some means to win her back, no matter what.
Chu Yue’s reputation was damaged, all thanks to that damn competitiveness.
Qin Yan was busy this weekend, so she couldn’t tutor Yu Liuxue. However, the results of last week’s exam were released quickly, and Yu Liuxue indeed surprised everyone by coming in first. All the students in the school were shocked. Did Jiang Zhi once again overtake everyone by a curveball and get incredibly lucky?
Jiang Zhi’s college entrance exam story was a legend that lived in everyone’s memories. Their school was one of the best, and if your scores weren’t high enough, you couldn’t get in, no matter how strong your connections were. And back then, Jiang Zhi had just barely squeezed into this school with a score that was just above the passing line. While this might seem like a perfectly normal thing to ordinary people, Jiang Zhi was someone who consistently ranked last in her grade!
Some people had speculated whether Jiang Zhi had cheated on the college entrance exam, and there were quite a few such suspicions. But now that she had scored so well again, while there was still a possibility of cheating, if the person you copied from scored higher than the person being copied, that would be a one-in-a-million chance, like winning the lottery.
However, this idea was immediately refuted. Jiang Zhi’s score was a full fifty points higher than the second-place student in her class. Even if her eyesight was excellent, there’s no way she could turn around and look at the second-place student’s answers from three rows back, right in front of the invigilating teacher? The possibility of knowing the correct answers beforehand seemed much more likely.
Yu Liuxue knew the results as soon as they came out. Soon, Qin Yan and Wen Sui also knew.
Qin Yan was slightly surprised. To resist her tutoring, she simply stopped hiding her abilities and revealed her true strength? Qin Yan’s lips curved into a slight smile. After so many years of pretending to be a bad student, pretending not to understand anything and asking Wen Sui for help with problems, was she finally unable to keep up the act?
Wen Sui’s gentle and refined expression subtly darkened. Jiang Zhi’s grades were so good, and Qin Yan was actively helping her with tutoring. What else could it be if not that she liked Jiang Zhi?
Yu Liuxue felt that the male and female leads were looking at her strangely. She couldn’t help but ask the system, “Does Qin Yan know that I’m stealing her beloved, and does Wen Sui know that I plan to give up on him?”
The system shook its head, indicating it knew nothing.
Qin Yan walked towards her. She leaned slightly, her red lips curving into a smile, “Little one, how is it that as soon as I said I’d tutor you, you scored such a good grade?”
Yu Liuxue subconsciously took half a step back, her face serious: “You might not believe me, but I suddenly had my Ren and Du meridians unblocked and awakened the Soul of the Study God.”
Qin Yan chuckled, clearly not believing her. She said, “To prevent your academic performance from declining, let’s still meet promptly in the small study room this weekend.” The smile in her eyes sparkled, “Don’t become complacent just because you scored well.”
“Got it, little one?”
She called her “little one” repeatedly, melting Yu Liuxue’s bones. She subconsciously nodded, looking dazed and obedient.
Qin Yan pursed her lips and chuckled, “Then, see you then.”
Wen Sui heard their conversation clearly. He leaned against the wall behind him, his eyelids slightly lowered. When Qin Yan turned to call him, he subtly lifted his eyelids, resuming his gentle and refined demeanor. Before leaving, Wen Sui glanced at Yu Liuxue. It was a light, airy gesture, yet Yu Liuxue sensed an underlying rivalry.
Yu Liuxue: “…?” Did the male lead misunderstand something?
The date for Yu Liuxue and Chu Yue’s engagement was quickly decided. Chu Yue was reluctant, but the moment she saw Yu Liuxue, she concealed her true feelings and sat opposite Yu Liuxue as if nothing was amiss. Their parents were chatting, and Yu Liuxue was idle. Eventually, the adults shooed them away, telling them to go play by themselves.
Chu Yue seized the opportunity and pulled Yu Liuxue to a corner of the garden. Their figures were hidden among the blooming flowers. Yu Liuxue inhaled the floral scent, gazing up at Chu Yue with her fair face. She frowned, “Chu Yue, what are you doing?”
Chu Yue leaned in slightly, a smirk playing on her lips, “What do you think?”
The way she pronounced “ne” was particularly good, slow and deliberate, just like Qin Yan, as if she had savored it on her tongue before casually speaking. Yu Liuxue thought of Qin Yan and was momentarily lost in thought. Chu Yue saw her spacing out while talking to her face-to-face. She couldn’t help but step closer, cornering Yu Liuxue tightly, “Jiang Zhi, who are you thinking about now?!”
Yu Liuxue snapped back to reality, turning her head, “None of your business.”
After saying that, she mumbled, “Anyway, I’m thinking about anyone but you.”
Chu Yue felt like this woman would infuriate her to death one day. Her anger flared up but immediately subsided. She chuckled, “No matter if your heart is set on Wen Sui or Wen Bian, the one you’ll eventually get engaged and married to is still me.”
Yu Liuxue glared at her, flushed with anger, her chest heaving. Seeing her like this, Chu Yue finally felt a sense of release. However, her satisfaction was cut short when Yu Liuxue angrily declared, “So what if we’re engaged? Do you think marriage can bind me?”
Chu Yue: “…?”
Chu Yue couldn’t help but grit her teeth. She viciously pinched Yu Liuxue’s waist, which was so slender she could easily subdue her. Her hand slipped under the hem of Yu Liuxue’s short skirt. Yu Liuxue was both shy and reluctantly compliant. Suddenly, a figure entered her line of sight.
Yu Liuxue froze, instantly sobered. She immediately hid her face and blurted out, “Wen… Wen Sui?”
Chu Yue turned around. Wen Sui’s handsome face showed a hint of embarrassment. He turned his back to them, “Sorry, cousin, I heard some noise here, so I came to check…”
Yu Liuxue’s mind was full of questions at this moment, “…?!?!”
C-cousin?!!!
