Chapter 14: Go for It, Senior!

    The next day.

    Cloudy.

    Early morning.

Jiang Ning wobbled on her bicycle, pedaling toward school.

She had stayed up late drawing blueprints the previous night, so she was feeling sluggish today.

On the ten-minute ride, she had already yawned countless times.

Finally, with sleepy eyes, Miss Jiang arrived at the school’s parking area.

Just as she stopped, she heard someone calling her.

She responded and turned her head.

    Three people.

A chubby one, a tall one, and a skirt.

Jiang Ning’s gaze was instantly drawn to the girl in the white dress.

Her long black hair cascaded in front of her shoulders, her delicate features and fair skin glowing softly. When she smiled, dimples faintly appeared, adding to her charm. Her pink-and-white long dress complemented her gentle beauty.

She was like the ultimate “white moonlight” beauty, captivating everyone in sight.

At that moment, old man Jiang couldn’t help but reveal a foolish, lovestruck grin.

“Hehehe, Senior Yao Yao, you look so pretty.”

Hearing Jiang Ning’s sincere praise, Yao Yao’s cheeks flushed slightly. Instinctively, she glanced at the person beside her.

But when she saw that his eyes weren’t on her, a wave of disappointment washed over her.

However, she didn’t let it show. Instead, she quickly adjusted her mood and spoke warmly,
“Jiang Ning, does your ankle still hurt?”

“It’s much better.” Jiang Ning rolled up her pant leg, revealing a small, delicate ankle.

“See? The swelling’s gone. In a couple of days, I probably won’t need this anymore.”

As she spoke, she took the crutch from her bike’s handlebar.

But her movement was too big, and she almost smacked Hu Gugu with it.

Frightened, he immediately pleaded for mercy.

“Ahhh! Take it easy, take it easy!”

Jiang Ning rolled her eyes at his cowardice.

    “What are you scared of?”

At that moment, Li Mingwei, who had been quiet this whole time, suddenly took a small box out of his pocket and handed it over.

“This is ‘Huo Luo Oil’ that my mom brought back from Hong Kong. It’s great for muscle injuries.”

    “Huo Luo Oil?”

Jiang Ning looked down at the unopened box in his hand, hesitating.

“Ah, it’s fine. I’m almost healed, and this is still sealed. I wouldn’t even use it a few times.”

Seeing that she was about to refuse, Yao Yao suddenly said gently,

“It’s okay, Jiang Ning. Just take it. This medicine is very effective.”

“Yeah, take it. If you don’t finish it this time, you can use it next time,” Hu Gugu added.

But his words instantly displeased Jiang Ning. She raised her crutch, about to smack the chubby guy.

“Next time?! You think I’ll need it again?”

“Believe it or not, I’ll make sure you use it right now!”

Realizing his mistake, Hu Gugu quickly shrank behind Li Mingwei, begging for mercy.

“Miss Jiang! No—Jiang the Great Hero! I was wrong! I was wrong!”

The parking area was already small, and with Li Mingwei being much taller than Hu Gugu, Jiang Ning couldn’t land a hit.

Left with no choice, she snorted twice and reluctantly put her crutch away.

Seizing the moment, Yao Yao spoke again.

“Jiang Ning, do you have time after school today?”

“We’d like to treat you to a meal to make up for last time.”

“Make up for what?” Jiang Ning immediately caught on and waved her hand dismissively.

“It’s fine, it was just a sprain.”

“Besides, you already paid for it.”

“And honestly, if I hadn’t sprained my ankle, I’d be suffering through military training every day right now.”

“Tsk tsk, if anything, I should be thanking you guys.”

    She grinned carefreely.

Seeing her like this, Li Mingwei and the others couldn’t help but laugh too. But before they could say anything, Jiang Ning spoke up again.

“Eh, how about in a few days? I’ve got something to do these days.”

As she said this, something seemed to come to mind, and she asked directly,

“Do you guys know any reliable renovation companies nearby?”

Seeing their puzzled expressions, she quickly explained,

“My cousin is opening a fried chicken shop. He’s already rented the place, but he needs a good renovation company.”

Hearing this, Yao Yao and Hu Gugu instinctively turned to look at Li Mingwei.

Jiang Ning also followed their gaze.

    Li Mingwei coughed lightly.

“Uh… my sister works in renovations…”

At those words, Jiang Ning’s eyes lit up, and she awkwardly grinned.

“Uh… could you introduce me to her?”

Faced with a beauty’s request, Li Mingwei readily agreed, saying he’d talk to his sister as soon as he got home.

Since he was going directly to ask her, Jiang Ning thought for a moment, then pulled out the blueprints she had stayed up late drawing.

“This is my design for the shop. You can show it to your sister and ask her to estimate a price for me…”

The three of them were surprised to hear that Jiang Ning had designed the blueprints herself. They immediately took them and huddled together to look.

When they saw the neat floor plans, Hu Gugu muttered in awe,

“Whoa, Jiang the Great Hero, you can even draw design blueprints?”

“It’s nothing special,” Jiang Ning waved it off, then turned to Li Mingwei.

    “Can you do it?”

    “No problem.”

Li Mingwei agreed without hesitation but then realized something.

“Oh, right. How should I contact you when I get the price?”

“Should I go to your classroom?”

Too many people in class—bad idea.

So Jiang Ning took out a pen and wrote her home phone number on the blueprint.

“Call before 10 PM. After that, my mom will be home…”

    “Got it!”

Satisfied with his response, Jiang Ning chuckled and suddenly stepped forward. Before anyone could react, she hugged Yao Yao.

Feeling the soft sensation pressing against her, Jiang Ning inwardly sighed—no wonder she was a senior. So soft and fragrant.

Especially that slim waist, just the right size to hold. Absolutely intoxicating.

After a brief moment, Jiang Ning lowered her head, leaned in close to Yao Yao’s ear, and whispered,

“This guy’s not bad. Go for it, Senior!”

One sentence, and Yao Yao’s face instantly turned bright red, the blush lingering long after.

After Jiang Ning left, she muttered under her breath in a voice no one could hear.

    “This little brat…”

    Half an hour later.

    Li Mingwei hurried home.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw his mother sitting on the couch, reading a newspaper.

    “Mom! Where’s sis?”

“At the company,” she replied, not even looking up.

Hearing that, Li Mingwei turned to leave.

But just as he reached the door, his mother, Shen Hui, called out.

    “Come back.”

“Let me see what you’re holding.”
