Professional Assassin C43

Jay only took that one sip.
Then, just as expected, he passed out drunk. The system’s products truly stood the test of reality. Lin Yuetian praised the system twice, to which the system just snorted and said, “Well, duh. No need to state the obvious.”
Skipping unnecessary chatter, Lin Yuetian didn’t hesitate to pull out a gleaming dagger from his waist. He tapped the blade lightly against Jay’s cheek. “…Still awake, Jay?”
“Be careful not to mess up his face,” the system said, unable to watch. “His looks are basically his only redeeming quality. Go easy on him.”
“Good point.” Lin Yuetian thought for a moment and steadied his grip on the dagger. “I’ll be careful.”
Faced with Lin Yuetian’s question, Jay only let out some indistinct murmurs, much like any other drunkard. His words were slurred, unable to form any complete or reliable response. He just reacted instinctively, slumped in his chair like a puddle of drunk mush.
Lin Yuetian asked gently, “Jay, my student—do you love me?”
Jay’s voice sounded like his mouth was full of water, or like his tongue was too heavy to move. “You’re talking nonsense… how could I… love you, you old geezer…”
“My appearance isn’t old at all. You’re being awfully harsh,” Lin Yuetian maintained his mild tone while holding the dagger steady. The blade traced down Jay’s handsome cheek, gliding past his neck and shoulder before pausing at his forearm beneath his rolled-up sleeve. With a light touch, Lin Yuetian made a shallow cut.
Blood oozed out slowly. The wound wasn’t deep, barely noticeable. Lin Yuetian didn’t even consider it a warning—at most, it was just a little greeting. A casual “say hi.” Due to the intoxication, Jay didn’t even realize he’d been hurt right away. After a long pause, he murmured softly, “Teacher… it hurts…”
“He really turns into a different person when he’s drunk,” the system commented. “Is this one of those ‘you only know who you love when you’re wasted’ moments? Or maybe, deep down, no matter how much he denies it, he still sees the original host as someone he can act spoiled around, since he was raised by them?”
“He’s not some irresponsible child anymore,” Lin Yuetian responded coldly in his mind. “What he’s done goes far beyond what a child is capable of.”
Meanwhile, in the apprentice’s room, Lin Yuetian continued his patient persuasion. “Pain is good. Jay, you answered incorrectly, so you need to be punished. I’m sure you understand, right?”
“And you say you’re not a psycho?” The system was speechless.
“This is called professional dedication,” Lin Yuetian defended himself, then pinched Jay’s cheek. “Let’s try again. Jay, my student, do you love me?”
Surprisingly, Jay was stubborn. Even in his drunken haze, he kept shaking his head. “No… how could I love you? I like girls… It’s you—it’s obviously you. You’re the one who likes me, or else you wouldn’t treat me so well… You’re disgusting… I originally only saw you as a father and a teacher… It’s because you like me that I used you… I don’t like you, not one bit… I wanted revenge…”
Lin Yuetian wasn’t interested in his self-analysis. He made another cut, deeper this time. Jay’s murmuring was cut off as he let out another soft groan of pain. Lin Yuetian ran his fingers over the wound, smearing the blood, and spoke gently, “Jay, you’re so full of misunderstandings and resentment toward me. Let’s look at this from another perspective, shall we?
“I raised you, treated you well. We were even in a relationship. I helped you reach the top of the Wizard Tower. The Wizard Tower upholds the belief that all wizards must abandon emotions and dedicate themselves solely to the mysteries of magic. Any romantic involvement is punishable by exile. And yet, I still agreed to your confession. I never once wronged you.
“But what did you do? Jay, my dear Jay, my student—you forgot everything I did for you. The moment you became the Chief, you abandoned me for the sake of your reputation. And yet, Jay, I don’t even blame you. I still treat you well, don’t I?
“So—do you love me?”
“I… I can’t love you…” Jay’s tone began to waver. He sounded conflicted and hesitant.
Lin Yuetian finally fast-forwarded. He pressed the dagger’s blade against Jay’s throat and patted his face lightly, his voice carrying a subtle threat. “That’s not the answer I want to hear. You really are slow, Jay. Let’s continue this lesson. Let’s see if you’re just a stubborn, unteachable student. If you are, then the teacher will have to punish you—I promise it will be very painful. But if you’re a good student, then the teacher will reward you…”
Jay froze. “…Reward?”
“That’s right,” Lin Yuetian said. “The reward is something we never got to do when we were lovers. Why don’t you use your imagination and take a guess?”
Jay’s intoxicated breathing grew heavier.
“??? This isn’t okay,” the system suddenly panicked. It felt like things were heading in an inappropriate direction. “Are you the kind of person who enjoys watching teacher-student movies?”
“I don’t watch movies,” Lin Yuetian replied.
“I don’t believe you! That line was clearly straight out of a well-mannered yet suggestive teacher-student drama! I swear I’ve heard something similar before!” The system was outraged, unable to accept that Lin Yuetian was saying things related to… human reproduction. “How are you like this?!”
Lin Yuetian, however, caught a slip-up. “So you’ve seen them before?”
System: ……
“So, systems have these kinds of needs too…” Lin Yuetian mused cryptically. But the system had already stopped talking to him.
Lin Yuetian shrugged and continued dealing with Jay. “Now, answer the teacher, Jay, my student—do you love me?”
Jay’s face was flushed, nearly red to the tips of his ears. “…Love…”
Lin Yuetian nodded with satisfaction: “Good, then the teacher will reward you now.”
Then he started to undress Jay.
The system was stunned, as if hit by a petrification spell. It remained stunned for quite a while, and by the time Lin Yuetian had almost completely exposed Jay, the system couldn’t take it anymore and began screaming: “No!!!! I told you not to kill while doing this!! Big brother, please, I’m begging you, big brother, if you want to kill, just kill, why humiliate a hero?! Even if the scumbag isn’t a hero, I’m innocent! I will collapse, I really will collapse! Even if you face great difficulties, big brother, don’t give up on yourself! Chastity is a man’s best dowry, it should be saved for a one-on-one partner! No, please! Think it over!”
Equally surprised was Vena. He could no longer pretend to be dead and directly materialized, grabbing Lin Yuetian’s hand: “What are you doing?!”
Lin Yuetian looked at him with satisfaction: “Oh? Vena, it’s you. I let you consume Kason so you could materialize? You look more human now, your complexion is good, lifelike..”
“I’m asking what you’re doing!” Vena was furious.
Lin Yuetian patted his shoulder affectionately and said: “Just stand there and don’t move.”
Before Vena could react, a flash of petrification spell light burst from Lin Yuetian’s palm, directly hitting him. He became unable to move, followed immediately by a silencing spell. Vena was thus instantly rendered immobile and speechless.
Then our protagonist, Lin Yuetian, pushed the now-materialized Vena onto the ground, then fiercely kicked the drunk and completely naked Jay, precisely knocking him down to lie fully exposed on top of Vena.
