She’s Crazy C01
by MarineTLHey, don’t you feel honored, great beauty?
Fairy Su Zai Zai’s Diary
Even if you don’t have cat ears, I still fancy you.
Two days after National Day, it had been raining continuously in Z City. The drizzle persisted, yet there was no hint of coolness in the air, which remained stifling and humid.
During class breaks, the campus was always lively.
The corridors echoed with students’ laughter and playful banter, mingled with the soft patter of rain.
Amidst the noise, Su Zai Zai walked out of the office, hugging a thick stack of English workbooks.
Entering the classroom, she gritted her teeth and placed the books on the desk near the door. She wiped the sweat off her forehead before picking up the topmost workbook.
Footsteps sounded behind her.
Jiang Jia suddenly pounced on her, laughing. “Zai Zai! Let’s go! To the snack shop!”
Su Zai Zai blew at her bangs and waved the workbook in her hand at Jiang Jia. “Wait a bit, I need to go to the honors class. The English teacher asked me to find a student from their class.”
“Who?”
Hearing that, Su Zai Zai flipped open the cover of the workbook.
— Zhang Lu Rang, Class 1, Grade 10.
The handwriting was neat yet bold, structured yet exuding confidence.
Jiang Jia leaned over for a glance and immediately widened her eyes. “Damn, Zhang Lu Rang?! I’m coming too!”
Her exaggerated reaction made Su Zai Zai pause for a moment, but she quickly understood. “Is Zhang Lu Rang really good-looking?”
“Of course! Although I haven’t seen him myself, haha. But I’m actually more interested in another guy—people say he’s insanely handsome, that kind of roguishly handsome!”
“Heh.” Su Zai Zai chuckled.
“What?”
“Does my laugh sound roguish enough?”
“Get lost, you idiot.”
Soon, they reached the honors class.
Su Zai Zai called out to someone inside through the back door and handed them the workbook. “Hey, can you give this to Zhang Lu Rang in your class? Also, let him know the English teacher is looking for him.”
She turned her head and saw Jiang Jia still stretching her neck to peek inside. Curious, she followed her gaze.
“Which one?”
“Seems like he’s not here…”
“Then let’s go.”
On the Way Back
Jiang Jia looked disappointed and rolled her eyes at Su Zai Zai. “How are you so indifferent to handsome guys? I still haven’t seen either of the two famous good-looking guys from the honors class! You should have handed the workbook to Zhang Lu Rang in person! Why let someone else pass it along? You irresponsible woman!”
“How am I irresponsible?”
“Heh.”
“It’s not like I’m dating him.”
“…!”
“Besides, weren’t you more interested in another guy?”
“If I can’t see him, I’ll settle for looking at Zhang Lu Rang! A hottie is still a hottie.”
Su Zai Zai snorted. “I have no interest in handsome guys.”
Jiang Jia curled her lips in disdain. “Yeah, right.”
Su Zai Zai’s expression was serious. “Really, I only like guys like Tomoe—cute cat ears that twitch when he talks. I want to pinch them.”
“In your dreams! Those are fox ears, okay? And you’re saying Tomoe isn’t handsome?! Get lost!”
Su Zai Zai yawned lazily. “Being handsome isn’t the point. The point is having adorable ears.”
“…No matter how I think about it, being handsome is definitely the point.”
Snack Shop
During the long break, the two of them grabbed umbrellas from the classroom and headed downstairs toward the snack shop. Many students used this time to buy food, making the place crowded.
After browsing around, they didn’t find anything they wanted. The shop was small, the line was long, and the stuffy air was unbearable. Su Zai Zai pressed her lips together, losing interest in buying anything. She slowly squeezed through the crowd and stepped outside.
Under the shop’s canopy, many people were also standing around. She hesitated before opening her umbrella and stepping further out.
From this spot, she could see the school gate.
A student was walking over from that direction, striding quickly without an umbrella.
Luckily, the rain wasn’t too heavy, so he didn’t look too miserable.
Late?
That’s way too late—it’s already the second class break.
Su Zai Zai lowered her head and rubbed her drowsy eyes.
Bored, she tapped her shoe against a puddle and muttered under her breath, “Idiot. If it were me, I’d just skip the morning entirely and come in the afternoon.”
Being late for two periods or for the whole morning made no difference.
What a waste of an opportunity. Just let me take it instead, okay?
As soon as she finished speaking, she looked up—and instantly realized that student had already walked within two meters of her.
Their eyes met.
His gaze was unreadable, his pupils deep black, carrying an intimidating sharpness. His expression was cool and distant, his eyes shining like stars.
Su Zai Zai: “…”
…Did he teleport?
She knew he couldn’t have heard her. Even if he did, he wouldn’t know she was talking about him.
But Su Zai Zai still felt guilty and quickly averted her eyes.
The boy walked past her without hesitation, turning onto a small path ahead.
Su Zai Zai turned her head, watching his back, momentarily dazed.
Then the realization hit.
Her face heated up.
The scene replayed in her mind.
His deep eyes seemed to glisten from the rain, clear and bright, as if electrified—sending a tingling sensation straight to her heart and fingertips.
His wet hair was pitch-black like ink, his nose bridge sharp, his lips soft and slightly flushed.
Fair skin. Long legs. Narrow waist.
A great beauty…
Su Zai Zai licked her lips.
Jiang Jia, who had just exited the snack shop, interrupted her thoughts and dragged her back to reality.
“Su Zai Zai! Get over here! I forgot my umbrella!”
Su Zai Zai’s tongue halted mid-lick. She snapped out of her trance and walked over.
Back to Class
On the way back, Jiang Jia gossiped about their classmates, but Su Zai Zai barely responded. Her mind was a mess.
Jiang Jia quickly noticed her distraction and nudged her playfully. “What’s up? Still thinking about your dream guy? Cat-eared boyfriend?”
Su Zai Zai shook her head, dazed and silent.
She recalled what she had said earlier—
“Being handsome isn’t the point. The point is having adorable ears.”
Slap to the face…
Su Zai Zai never thought such a person could exist.
No cat ears.
Yet even more tempting.
Honors Class
Zhang Lu Rang walked upstairs.
The rain wasn’t heavy, but he was still half-soaked.
“Hey, Zhang Lu Rang,” a guy patted him on the shoulder. “Where the hell were you? The class teacher was looking for you!”
Zhang Lu Rang glanced at him and curled his lips slightly in acknowledgment.
He walked to his desk, pulled out a pack of tissues, and lazily rubbed his hair dry. His lips pressed into a tight line.
The girl sitting in front of him, Ye Zhenxin, turned around curiously. “Hey, why are you all wet? Got caught in the rain?”
Zhang Lu Rang lowered his head and continued drying himself with more tissues, his attitude indifferent.
“Yeah.”
Then he walked to the trash bin in the corner of the classroom and tossed the tissues inside.
Nearby, a group of boys were huddled together, laughing at a mobile game.
“You idiot! I passed this level ages ago, and you’re still stuck?!”
Zhang Lu Rang’s steps paused.
A soft, delicate voice echoed in his mind, playing back clearly—
“Idiot. If it were me, I’d just skip the morning entirely and come in the afternoon.”
His deep black eyes darkened.
When he looked over, her gaze had wavered, guilty as she looked away.
So it was about me.
