    Extra Chapter One

Yun Song began by debriding Ming Qingfu’s wounds. “Immortal Lady! It really is you! You’ve come! This time, are you using a mortal body or your own?”

“I am Li Qingqing, do you still remember me? My name is Ming Qingfu now.”

Yun Song introduced herself. “Yun Song. My real name is Yun Song. I am human.”

Back then in the village, she had never used her real name. It was a strategy decided from the start, for fear that the villagers would retaliate against her.

Yun Song had always felt that since she had brought the police with her back then, everyone should have understood by default that she wasn’t an Immortal Lady.

She hadn’t expected to still have to explain this to Ming Qingfu now. “I am not an immortal. I only pretended to be one back then because I was forced by circumstances. I am very sorry for deceiving your feelings.”

Ming Qingfu completely ignored the pain in her body. She found it unbelievable. “How is that possible? If you aren’t the Immortal Lady, how could I…”

She wanted to ask how she could have been so lucky. How could she have been rescued this time?

Yun Song gave her time to think about it. She should be able to realize that her achievements came from herself, not from some Immortal Lady.

After leaving Xinghua Village, Yun Song watched Ming Qingfu and her daughters get into the car ahead. Only then did she return to her own vehicle. She slept in the back seat while her apprentice drove. The apprentice couldn’t help but sigh, “It’s wonderful. The mother and both daughters are all safe.”

Yun Song nodded, her tense nerves finally relaxing. She hadn’t slept for two days.

Soon, her consciousness began to blur. In her haze, she had another dream.

She knew she was dreaming, and she knew she was dreaming of things from her childhood.

She often dreamed of the past.

This time, it was raining heavily outside, a pitter-patter sound. Her parents were cooking, and she was sitting in the living room doing her homework.

She felt a sense of peace in her heart.

Suddenly, two giants burst in. They tore the roof right off the house.

Her mother rushed over to shield her. The giants began to pick up her father and mother.

She stood there, watching the two giants. Suddenly, she became a giant too.

She was half the giant in the dream, and half the Yun Song outside the dream.

She watched her giant self beat back the two giants.

For the first time, after countless nightmares where she could never change anything, things were different.

She turned back into a child.

At the end of the dream, her mother changed her soaked shoes and socks.

Everything in the dream was warm.

    Extra Chapter Two

Sister An didn’t understand what her mother was thinking. She had told her mother about her employer’s family – specifically that the employer’s granddaughter had been kidnapped years ago, and her grandmother had gone to the Guangcheng police station to pick her up, only to find out it was something that happened thirty years ago.

As her mother listened, she started crying on the other end of the line.

Sister An admitted the story was touching, but did her mother really need to cry for this long?

“Niu Niu, where are you? Mama is coming to see you! You really are Mama’s lucky star. Your employer is Mama’s benefactor. We were separated long ago because of some business and couldn’t find each other afterward, but you found her just like that.”

    “Mom, are you sure?”

Her mother insisted she was sure and prepared a large pile of things to bring to the city.

Sister An didn’t mention this to her employer. Although Yun Song was very kind, Sister An felt that bringing it up specially would seem like she was telling them to prepare a welcome for her mother.

Consequently, by the time Sister An went to meet her mother, a big boss had arrived at the house with two daughters to thank her employer. Sister An was in such a hurry to meet her mother that she didn’t have time to speak with them.

Sister An met her mother at the entrance of the residential complex. Looking at the live chickens and ducks her mother had brought, she felt… well… a bit embarrassed. She was also afraid the live animals might scare people.

She kept moving the chickens and ducks behind her, trying to avoid startling anyone.

To her absolute surprise, as soon as that big boss saw her return, she rushed over and hugged her.

“Youzhi!” Ming Qingfu already knew about Sha Niu’s situation.

    Sister An was stunned. What?

    “I’ve finally found you!”

Sister An was pulled back inside, still in a daze, not understanding what was happening.

Yun Song explained, “The three of us were good friends once.”

Sister An slapped herself, startling everyone opposite her.

“Sha… Youzhi, right? Don’t hit yourself.”

“No, I just don’t quite understand. How did you know each other? Mom…”

She turned her head. Her mother was talking to Yun Song, and both were wiping away tears.

Huh? They really did all know each other.

Ming Qingfu also hurried to explain, “We were from the same village. Back then, I said I wanted to go to the city to open a restaurant. Oh, right, you even gave me half of your money back then, saying you wanted to open the shop with me.” Back then, the Village Chief had given the clinic’s money to Ming Wen… Yun Song. Yun Song had split the money between the two of them. At that time, Ming Qingfu said she wanted to open a restaurant in the city, and Sha Niu gave her five hundred yuan, saying they would open it together.

No matter how hard or poor life got, Ming Qingfu had never touched that money. That was the money for their shop.

Knowing her current situation, Ming Qingfu picked out what she could say. “Later, I went to the city, and you and your mother went back to your hometown. We lost contact.”

An Youzhi understood. In other words, back before her brain was injured, she had been so visionary that she picked out this female entrepreneur and decided to start a business with her?

She wouldn’t have dared to even dream of it!

Heavens, if her head hadn’t been injured, just how smart would she have been?

Ming Qingfu even took out an account book and said, “I’ve kept track of your money from back then. I’ve been looking for you all this time. Truly, the gods have blessed us. I’ve finally found you.”

Sister An couldn’t help but slap herself again. It wasn’t a dream!

In the year she turned fifty, Sister An finally struck it rich.
