by MarineTLChapter 51 – How a Heartbreaker Manages Her Suitors (Part 8)
The emotion in Jiang Zhixi’s eyes sank in an instant. The air around her seemed to freeze, and a surge of indescribable fury rushed up in her chest, completely sweeping away her rationality. She could no longer suppress her thoughts. Leaning down, she seized Yu Liuxue’s lips with a punishing, venting intent, trying every way possible to discipline the other girl.
Yu Liuxue let out a muffled “mm-mm” sound as she struggled half-heartedly. Her thunderous resistance had barely any strength behind it, and Jiang Zhixi easily locked down her wrists. Jiang Zhixi was strong—Yu Liuxue was pinned onto the small bed in the blink of an eye, unable to move.
Yu Liuxue couldn’t help but lament to the system, “The female lead looks so soft and delicate… I didn’t expect her to be so fierce when it came to the real thing.”
The system, ears metaphorically burning, promptly activated Do Not Disturb mode, determined to ignore this host who kept bullying the female lead on purpose.
Jiang Zhixi’s eyes were red with anger. There was a faint flush at the corners of her eyes. She didn’t know where she’d learned these moves, but she tormented Yu Liuxue to the brink of madness. After ten minutes, Yu Liuxue finally lost her patience and asked the system, “System, she’s been kissing me for ten minutes now.”
The system opened a little window and replied lifelessly, “And?”
Are you trying to show off to me or what?
Yu Liuxue hesitated before asking, “She’s been at it for this long… why hasn’t she… gone further?”
Could it be that she doesn’t know how? Despair struck Yu Liuxue. Just as she began to regret everything, Jiang Zhixi suddenly bit her hard. Yu Liuxue instantly let out an uncontrollable cry. When the last tremor of that sound faded, she looked up in horror to find that after a brief moment of stillness, Jiang Zhixi’s gaze had turned even more intense—terrifyingly so.
Instinctively, Yu Liuxue tried to retreat, but in the blink of an eye, she was pulled back again.
Her cheeks were flushed. She looked like a pitiful little white flower, with slightly red eyes and stubborn tears shimmering at the corners. A sudden sting pierced Jiang Zhixi’s chest. She gradually came to her senses, stared quietly at Yu Liuxue for a few seconds, then abruptly released her and fled the room.
The door shut with a loud click. Jiang Zhixi leaned against the wall outside, her emotions indescribably tangled.
She didn’t understand why Li Zhen meant so much to Yu Liuxue. Why he was still so important in her heart. After that blind date, Li Zhen had made it very clear he wouldn’t get back together with Yu Liuxue. He had been so heartless already—why couldn’t she let go?
Jiang Zhixi slowly slid down to the floor, back against the wall, fingers tangled in her hair, heart unwilling.
Inside, Yu Liuxue was dumbfounded watching Jiang Zhixi walk away. The room’s temperature dropped abruptly. All the earlier ambiguity and tension had vanished without a trace. She had thought Jiang Zhixi would torment her for two or three hours! But… it ended just like that?
Yu Liuxue collapsed on the bed in tears, “System, what kind of fate do I even have? How can the female lead just light a fire and run away?”
The system watched her misfortune gleefully. “Host, you overacted.”
If Yu Liuxue hadn’t insisted on pretending to be a stubborn, unyielding little white flower, wouldn’t this whole thing have just worked out?
Yu Liuxue glared at it. “What do you know? This is called sticking to my principles.”
System: “…” You have principles?
Yu Liuxue took off her shoes, even shed her coat, and lay on the bed pretending to sleep, fully expecting that once the female lead came in and saw her in this half-inviting, half-resisting pose, she’d be unable to resist. However, even by the time their private jet landed, Jiang Zhixi never showed up in her line of sight again. Naturally, the punishment she’d hoped for never happened.
“The female lead of this world is just way too disappointing!” Yu Liuxue huffed and dragged her suitcase behind her. When she opened the door, she saw Jiang Zhixi fully dressed, seated on the sofa, chatting happily with Zhou Wei and Zuo Yun. Their closeness made it seem like they’d been friends for years.
Yu Liuxue gripped the handle of her suitcase tightly. “System, don’t you think there’s a hint of green above my head right now?”
The system looked at Jiang Zhixi, then back at Yu Liuxue, and decided it was best to stay out of this drama between two deviously scheming women. It muttered as it pulled up its core settings, “Jiang Zhixi was supposed to be a naive sweetheart—how did she end up turning into the host?”
Yu Liuxue didn’t get a response. Just then, Zuo Yun noticed her and immediately stood up. “Ke Ying, are you well-rested?”
“I am.” Yu Liuxue yawned lazily, feigning sleepiness. She set her suitcase aside and scanned the sofa, then deliberately sat beside Jiang Zhixi. On the three-seater sofa, Jiang Zhixi was on the left, Yu Liuxue on the right, with a gap in the middle—neither too close nor too far. It was the kind of subtle distance that didn’t annoy but unknowingly sparked hope, teasing the heart just enough.
Since Yu Liuxue’s appearance, Jiang Zhixi hadn’t lifted her head once. Her lashes hung low, hiding the turmoil in her eyes. Even knowing Yu Liuxue sat right beside her, she didn’t spare her so much as a glance or greeting, thoroughly treating her like air.
Yu Liuxue scratched her cheek. Had she accidentally pissed off the female lead too much?
She couldn’t help but glance at Jiang Zhixi. Her posture was relaxed, her long black hair cascading like a waterfall over her shoulders. A few loose strands framed her calm, cool face, enhancing her aloof aura. Yu Liuxue looked to Zuo Yun, signaling wildly with her eyes. Zuo Yun immediately spoke up, “Zhixi, thank you for bringing us today.”
Jiang Zhixi’s cold expression softened. She smiled, eyes curved like crescent moons, and replied gently, “Don’t mention it. It was on my way.”
After the private jet was parked, the three of them gathered their luggage and prepared to leave. Jiang Zhixi stood at the door, watching them go. Only when Yu Liuxue’s figure was almost out of sight did she feel a sudden pang of regret. Was she punishing Yu Liuxue, or was she punishing herself?
Yu Liuxue smelled lovely. Holding her felt soft and comfortable. Even her breath carried a faint fragrance. As Jiang Zhixi recalled that hysterical, frenzied kiss in the small room, her fingers twitched slightly without her realizing it.
Yu Liuxue, deeply disappointed by this trip, couldn’t help but ask Zuo Yun, “Did Jiang Zhixi have a good time chatting with you all?”
Zuo Yun could tell something was off between Yu Liuxue and Jiang Zhixi. With some hesitation, she said cautiously, “I’ve spoken with Zhixi before—she’s always had a pretty easygoing personality. She just chatted with us about industry stuff.”
Yu Liuxue gave a faint snort and thought to herself, She is absolutely not that easygoing.
After leaving the airport, the three of them took a taxi to the hotel. Once they’d dropped off their luggage, they immediately grabbed their equipment and headed to the venue. They had already gotten permission from the veteran artist to film, and the three of them sat dead center in the first row, with an excellent view.
The concert went on for a full four hours. Toward the end, some audience members began leaving in a hurry. By the time the concert concluded, more than half the audience had already left. Yu Liuxue asked Zhou Wei to swap out the batteries and then immediately stood up and walked toward the old artist. He was in the middle of putting down his instrument and directing the team to pack up. Noticing her from the corner of his eye, he turned around at once with a beaming smile and extended his hand. “You must be Ke Ying.”
Yu Liuxue was immediately confused by his certainty and asked cautiously, “Do you know me?”
The old artist chuckled. “My kid at home is a fan of yours. They’ve mentioned you a few times.”
Yu Liuxue laughed. “Ah, so that’s what it is.”
Zuo Yun had already communicated with the old artist in advance. They had originally only secured a ten-minute interview, but once the old man started talking, he just kept going. An hour later, the three of them sat there, forcing polite smiles, looking dead inside. The man could really talk—nonstop.
Realizing how late it had gotten, the old artist finally let them go. He said cheerfully, “Let’s continue chatting next time! I heard you bought tickets for all fifteen performances? Young folks with good taste! Tell you what, if you stick it out through all of them, I’ll give you a big surprise gift. How about that?”
Yu Liuxue instantly perked up. Fighting back sleepiness, she quickly replied, “Don’t worry, we’ll definitely stick it out till the end!”
The old man happily reminded them to be safe on their way home.
The three of them slumped in the backseat of the taxi, exhausted. Yu Liuxue rubbed her ears. “I thought covering fifteen concerts would be more than enough for one video.”
Right? But who would’ve guessed the old man would be such a chatterbox? Just the footage from today alone was enough to make a full episode. Back at the hotel, the three had a quick discussion and immediately revised their plan to make a full-on documentary about music and theatre.
After the discussion, Yu Liuxue fell straight asleep. During the day, she’d been tormented by Jiang Zhixi for ten minutes and didn’t get the satisfaction she wanted, so even in her dreams she felt bitter and wronged.
They hadn’t deliberately tried to hide the fact that they were attending the concert, so someone recognized Yu Liuxue and quickly posted photos online. When Cheng Yu saw the related Weibo post, she curled her lips into a faint smile and immediately decided to make a video on the same topic and post it before Yu Liuxue could release hers.
Cheng Yu was a woman of action. That very night, she searched for several concerts and even bought high-priced tickets from scalpers for some pop star shows. Her plan was to shoot a casual, entertainment-focused vlog. Zhao Keying had become famous through vlogs—if she wanted to show Zhao Keying what’s what, she had to strike at her strongest area.
If Zhao Keying found out someone was making vlogs better than hers, she’d be consumed with jealousy and start attacking people again, just like last time. At that point, all Cheng Yu would need to do is push things a little, and Zhao Keying would never get a chance to make a comeback.
That thought had Cheng Yu so excited she couldn’t sleep.
Her execution was swift—she finalized the schedule that very night. The next morning, she grabbed her camera, brought her assistant, and set off. She hadn’t yet identified the traitor in her studio, so she didn’t trust anyone else. She’d rather take on all the work herself and be a little tired than risk another leak of her content.
While Yu Liuxue was having breakfast, her bootlicking system popped up and said, “Host, the female supporting character is planning to copy you.”
“Supporting character?” Yu Liuxue didn’t even lift her head. “Who?”
The system replied, “…Cheng Yu.” Seriously? It hasn’t even been that long and you already forgot her?
It added quickly, “Host, after she found out you were attending concerts yesterday, she also bought concert and pop show tickets. She plans to release her video before you do.”
“So?” Yu Liuxue slowly lifted her eyes, gave a light laugh, and said indifferently, “Let her copy if she wants to.”
The system was momentarily speechless.
“Aren’t you worried she’ll beat you to it?”
“Only if she doesn’t try to make a movie.” She never intended to just turn this amazing material into a simple vlog. Back when Zhao Keying was at her peak, her vlog skills were unbeatable. No matter how hard Yu Liuxue worked now, the best she could hope for was to match Zhao Keying’s old level.
To fans and casual viewers, it would just look like she’d regained her former charm.
Vlogs were limited in format and not a sustainable path forward. Plus, with Zhou Wei the editing wizard and Zuo Yun the walking library by her side, her direction was branching out. She didn’t want to be an influencer anymore—she wanted to become a documentary director. Zhou Wei would be the editor, Zuo Yun the scriptwriter, and together they would form the top documentary team in the country and beyond.
After hearing that, the system shut up immediately.
The next day’s concert was at the same venue as before. So during the day, the three of them went out to explore and film local culture and scenery. Once again, they carried their gear into the venue. This time, the old artist played a different instrument, one unique to another country. Throughout the performance, all Yu Liuxue could do was marvel over and over again.
But before she could finish marveling, she was dragged aside by the old artist to hear Grandpa’s stories about art again.
By the end of the half-month run, Yu Liuxue, Zuo Yun, and Zhou Wei were completely worn out. Their minds and bodies had been through the wringer. After the final concert, the three didn’t even think—they just grabbed their luggage and bolted, diving into their rooms and sleeping for a full day and night before they finally came back to life.
Jiang Xiaona stared at the empty doorway, puzzled. He couldn’t help but ask his student, “How come those kids haven’t shown up yet?”
The student couldn’t help but laugh. “Teacher, you’re such a talker, who would dare come back?”
Jiang Xiao immediately grew displeased and began lecturing his students while tugging one of them along. “I’m doing this for your own good. You young people never take anything seriously. If I don’t nag a little, how will you even remember anything? People like us perform all over the country. If you mess up a single syllable, even if the audience doesn’t notice, it becomes a blemish on your record. If you want to be an outstanding artist, you absolutely cannot make such rookie mistakes…”
The students, pained, mentally shut their ears. Here he goes again. He’s back, bringing with him his endless nagging.
Making a documentary takes a long time, and over the past half month, they had filmed nearly ten thousand different clips. By the time Zhou Wei finishes editing them, he might be bald. So Yu Liuxue pulled out her little notebook and tossed it to Zhou Wei. “First edit these clips into a daily-life vlog.”
Wasn’t Cheng Yu trying to compete with her? Then she’d make sure Cheng Yu loses completely and convincingly.
Three days ago, Cheng Yu had already returned to the studio and gotten her video edited. Eager to release it, she uploaded the video with a blunt, eye-catching title: “I Went to See XXX, XX, and XXX’s Concert—They Were So Hot!”
As a result, the fans of those celebrities immediately flooded the video, tirelessly gushing with praise, pasting long strings of recommendations, and professing their love for their idols in the comments and on the bullet screen.
When Cheng Yu saw the video gaining traction, she was thrilled at first. But it didn’t take long for her to realize that all the copy-pasted comments and bullet screens were ruining the viewing experience. Her own fans and casual viewers were complaining bitterly, many of them quitting the video in frustration after just watching the beginning.
Moreover, the fans of those celebrities were extremely straightforward, writing things like: “XX appears at 00:00” right at the start.
So aside from the parts where their idol showed up, they skipped everything else, focusing only on praising their idol during their screen time.
Cheng Yu never expected that the theme she had carefully crafted would be strangled to death by these fans. She began frantically ordering her assistant to delete the unnecessary comments and bullet screens, but it was too late. People who weren’t fans had zero interest in those celebrities and wouldn’t even click on the video, while the fans would post their praise and leave. Only a tiny fraction watched it more than once.
After the comments and bullet screens were deleted, the video’s metrics took a nosedive.
It was pitiful and bleak, like bare branches stripped of all leaves in winter.
Zhao Keying’s earliest fans had never forgotten Cheng Yu’s betrayal. They had even created a massive fan group, lying in wait for the perfect opportunity to strike back. So when the intel team dropped the news in the chat, nearly a thousand fans were bursting with barely-suppressed laughter.
The group owner said, “Still remember how that little bitch smeared and framed Keying back then?”
The responses came in unison: “We remember!”
Then the group owner said, “Good. Today we’re going to make sure Cheng Yu gets utterly destroyed.”
While Cheng Yu was still regretting the deletion of the comments and bullet screens, a wave of sock-puppet accounts suddenly surged across major forums and social media platforms, accusing her of buying fake engagement. The so-called evidence was the vlog she had updated two days ago. Cheng Yu had over a million fans, but that video only had 300 comments, and just a few dozen bullet screens—shockingly low numbers for someone with her supposed popularity.
This wave of sock-puppets was terrifyingly aggressive. When her fans tried to defend her, they were instantly attacked, hounded into deleting their posts and falling silent just to preserve their peace. Not only that, many of them found the sock-puppets’ tone disturbingly familiar—
“The new video’s metrics are so bad. Clearly all her previous views and popularity were bought! She stuffed so many ads into that video, and after using the products, people in my friend group got rashes all over their faces. Still not cured. And she’s happy pocketing dirty money?”
“Didn’t Cheng Yu rise to fame riding Zhao Keying’s coattails? Without her, she’s nothing.”
“No, you’re wrong. She still has Zhao Keying’s team. In all my years, I’ve never seen someone so shameless. She built her career thanks to her former boss, then kicked her to the curb once she got popular, even turned around and accused her of being greedy and spreading rumors about her smoking and getting plastic surgery. And what’s the irony? Wasn’t it Cheng Yu herself managing those ad deals when she was still the assistant?”
“Karma’s a bitch. Heaven spares no one.”
Cheng Yu could never have imagined things would turn out like this. She was so furious she punched the wall, sending a searing pain through her fingers—but she had no time to care. She could only tell her assistant to use alt accounts to lure the celebrity fans back, trying to get them to pump up the comment and bullet screen count again, while subtly suggesting that it was the platform’s fault the comments disappeared.
But not even a night had passed before a tech staffer from the platform issued a statement: “After careful examination by our team, we confirm there are no abnormalities in the data of the said video.”
The slap in the face came so quickly it left everyone stunned.
The celebrity fans were dumbfounded—what do you mean there’s nothing wrong with the video data? Then that means Cheng Yu deleted our comments herself? You actually deleted our love confessions to our idols?!
Cheng Yu was instantly besieged by the angry fans.
Just as she was drowning in misery, Zhou Wei finished editing the vlog. The video was light and humorous, focusing on the approachable charm—and deathly nagging—of veteran artist Jiang Xiao. It was well put together, hilariously contrasting the expressions of utter despair on the three young people’s faces with Jiang Xiao’s exuberance. Even through the screen, you could feel their hopelessness. Every time, someone would pass by in the background and give them a sympathetic glance, adding to the humor.
As soon as the video went live, it caused a sensation. Some viewers didn’t know who Jiang Xiao was, so Zhou Wei, after cutting together several shots of the deadpan reactions, deliberately followed it with a list of Jiang Xiao’s representative works, rise to fame, and all the honors he had received.
The bullet screen was flooded with reactions like:
“Holy crap, it’s him!”
“As soon as I heard that familiar song, I knew it had to be Master Jiang—I just didn’t expect him to be this legendary.”
Unlike the barrage of comments under Cheng Yu’s vlog, the ones under Yu Liuxue’s were incredibly harmonious, filled with exclamation marks of shock at Jiang Xiao’s identity, along with a mix of sympathy and schadenfreude toward the three who had been tormented.
After watching the video, Yu Liuxue specifically logged onto Weibo to announce, “There was too much footage filmed over the past half month to fit into one episode, so there’ll be another food vlog coming up, and a series of episodes featuring veteran artists—no idea how many yet.”
A message popped up on Jiang Zhixi’s phone screen. She glanced at the lit-up screen, expression indifferent, and didn’t bother with it.
Jiang Xiao raised his brows slightly. “Zhixi, aren’t you a fan of Keying?”
Jiang Zhixi’s lashes fell abruptly, concealing the emotions in her eyes. She tugged up the corners of her mouth and smiled faintly. “Grandpa, I’m not her fan.”
Jiang Xiao looked at her with some hesitation, but he had things to attend to and was pressed for time, so he didn’t ask further. After he left, Jiang Zhixi calmly picked up her phone and saw that Yu Liuxue had just posted a new update on Weibo. Her expression dimmed. Was Keying really that busy? So busy that she hadn’t sent a single message in half a month? Busy enough to find time to post on Weibo but not to reach out to her?
Or… had her previous boldness scared her off?
Jiang Zhixi couldn’t even describe the tangled mess of emotions in her heart. She missed her so badly. She wanted to rush over and hold her, kiss every inch of her skin, and watch her melt into weak sobs in her arms.
Whenever Yu Liuxue had free time, she would start thinking about Zhixi’s darling self. She paced lazily around her room and asked aloud, “Why hasn’t the female lead come over yet?”
The system quietly muttered in its heart: The female lead is waiting for you to go to her, okay?
“Maybe she’s busy or something…”
The system hadn’t even finished speaking before Yu Liuxue cut it off. “No, it must be that my beauty trap and charm tactics haven’t been up to par.”
System: “…?” What else could I even say?
Yu Liuxue blinked, suddenly excited. “Quick, check if the female lead has anything planned tonight.”
The system was forced to investigate the female lead’s whereabouts and replied, “She’s going out for a girls’ night with her close friends.”
Yu Liuxue’s eyes lit up and she quickly started getting ready. She hummed lightly to herself—if Jiang Zhixi wasn’t going to come find her, then she’d just go find her instead. While getting ready, Yu Liuxue even called Mu Lixin and Liang Chen, asking them to join her for dinner at the same place where Jiang Zhixi was meeting her friends.
Just the thought of it made Yu Liuxue giddy. “Hey, do you think if she sees me on a date with two men at once, she’ll get so mad she’ll storm off?”
System: “…” Honestly, I think you won’t be able to get out of bed tomorrow.
Once she got everyone in place and finished dressing up, Yu Liuxue grabbed her purse and drove over.
It had only been a short while, but Jiang Zhixi’s close friend had already noticed her mood had noticeably worsened. She asked casually, “What, did another melodramatic novel get to you? I told you to stop reading that ‘CEO Falls in Love with Me’ crap…”
Jiang Zhixi shook her head and earnestly confessed, “No, it’s because I’ve fallen for Zhao Keying.”
Pfft—her friend promptly spat out the water she’d just sipped, staring wide-eyed in disbelief. “What?! How did you end up falling for her?!”
It was too melodramatic, too damn unbelievable.
Her friend stared at her with a complicated expression. “Zhixi… you didn’t watch yourself into brain damage, did you?”
Jiang Zhixi calmly lifted her eyes. “I haven’t watched anything in a long time.”
“Because I can’t stop thinking about her.”
She thought of her so much it was driving her insane. All those inappropriate thoughts inside her clawed their way out, eating away at her sanity bit by bit.
Her friend was completely stunned. “No, seriously, how did you fall for her? Are you a masochist or something? Did she bully you into catching feelings?”
Jiang Zhixi’s face was blank. “Do I look like it?”
Do you? Oh, you absolutely do. Not only do you look like a masochist, you look like a full-on yandere now. That silly, sweet vibe you used to have? Gone.
After confirming Jiang Zhixi’s location, Yu Liuxue deliberately picked a spot far enough away not to be in her face, but close enough that Jiang Zhixi would definitely notice her when leaving. Soon after she arrived, Liang Chen and Mu Lixin showed up as well. The two men exchanged looks, thoroughly confused about what Yu Liuxue was playing at.
Yu Liuxue chatted idly for a bit, then as Jiang Zhixi and her friend finished eating and were about to pay the bill, she suddenly switched to a different expression—eyes teary and full of sadness—as she looked at the two men and said pitifully, “What do I do, Lixin? I like you so much… but I also really like Liang Chen.”
Jiang Zhixi: “…?”
That familiar voice made her stop in her tracks. She turned and saw Yu Liuxue, dressed provocatively and feigning heartbreak. Her outfit today was even more outrageous than what she wore to the bar. Even with Jiang Zhixi’s pure mindset, she couldn’t help but feel that Yu Liuxue was intentionally dressed like this to seduce Mu Lixin and Liang Chen.
Jiang Zhixi stood right beside Yu Liuxue. Mu Lixin and Liang Chen both looked startled and instinctively wanted to explain, but Yu Liuxue was quicker. The two men watched her in despair as she spoke:
“How about…”
“The three of us just date each other!”
Jiang Zhixi’s friend was so shocked by this shameless declaration that her mouth fell open. “…?” Why don’t you just go to the moon while you’re at it?
“From now on, Lixin, you’ll be my main boyfriend. Liang Chen, you’ll be my side boyfriend. I’m over Li Zhen. The three of us will live happily ever after.”
As soon as she said that, the temperature around Jiang Zhixi dropped by a hundred degrees.
Yu Liuxue belatedly turned around and was visibly surprised. But her lightly made-up face instantly filled with panic. She stammered, “Zhixi? Y-you… what are you doing here…”
Then she remembered what she’d just said, and her little face flushed red with urgency. “Zhixi, I—those two—I didn’t mean it, I was just kidding!”
Jiang Zhixi looked at her coolly, burning with the urge to properly punish her. But to her own dismay, even this flustered version of Yu Liuxue looked absolutely adorable in her eyes.
Jiang Zhixi’s face was dark with anger. Reaching the limit of her patience, she grabbed Yu Liuxue from her seat and, burning with rage, dragged her to the parking lot. Without a trace of gentleness, she shoved Yu Liuxue into the car.
Yu Liuxue, oddly excited, sat in the car and, like an over-the-top actor, scrambled to open the door and escape. But in a panic, even the simplest actions became overwhelmingly difficult.
That was exactly Yu Liuxue’s situation—she fumbled with the door for ages without success. Jiang Zhixi soon got into the car, her face still stormy, and locked the doors, cutting off any possibility of escape.
The system watched her slow and clumsy movements and sighed, “Host, I’ve never seen a woman as unique and extraordinary as you.”
Yu Liuxue responded with smug satisfaction, “Congratulations. It cost you eight lifetimes’ worth of luck to witness it.”
The system was so furious it nearly exploded. “Hmph! I wasn’t complimenting you!”
But Yu Liuxue had no time to argue. Her face was filled with nervous fear as she cowered by the door, trembling as she looked at Jiang Zhixi and stammered, “Zhixi, wh-what are you trying to do?”
Jiang Zhixi didn’t say a word. She drove to the nearest hotel, booked a room, and then pushed Yu Liuxue onto the bed. The moment of bottled-up fury exploded, and Yu Liuxue was utterly overwhelmed by what she dubbed “the hammer of socialist discipline.” Gripping the bedsheets tightly, she gasped out, voice shaking with emotion, “Zhixi, no, please!”
“What… are you doing… ah!”
Jiang Zhixi leaned close to her ear and chuckled lightly, speaking in a slow, careless tone, “Didn’t you say you wanted two boyfriends? Didn’t you want to be happily together with two men?”
I didn’t! I never said that! You’re imagining things!
Jiang Zhixi turned her face toward her, speaking like a refined villain. “Let me help you fulfill that wish.”
“Oh my gosh! System, I’m too overwhelmed right now!”
“What do you think the female lead’s going to do to me today?”
Yu Liuxue clutched her chest helplessly, looking pitiful as she pleaded, “Zhixi, this isn’t right… I can’t forget Li Zhen, and I can’t betray the feelings Lixin and Liang Chen have for me…”
That only earned her another round of discipline.
She trembled all over, looking at Jiang Zhixi in her darker, more intense state. Even as tears of bizarre joy spilled from her eyes, she still protested, “Zhixi, you’re only doing this because I stole the men around you, right? You hate that I took Li Zhen, Zuo Xia, and Liang Chen away from you…”
As if I care about them.
Jiang Zhixi quickened her pace. Yu Liuxue’s strength gave out, and she collapsed into Jiang Zhixi’s arms, soft murmurs escaping her lips, tinged with tears.
After a few minutes of rest, Yu Liuxue began struggling again. Jiang Zhixi grew more irritated at her resistance. Her mind was consumed by a single thought—disciplining Yu Liuxue.
After ten minutes of fighting back, Yu Liuxue finally got what she had coming…
Her voice hoarse, she couldn’t get out of bed.
She thought it was over. But then Jiang Zhixi leaned close to her ear and asked in an even tone, “Ke Ying, did you like that?”
Yu Liuxue glanced weakly at her, and that one look instantly lit a fire in Jiang Zhixi’s eyes. She immediately sat up again, full of energy, switching poses and continuing her ‘lesson.’
Yu Liuxue stared into the distance in despair. Not again…
